Ain't no band who writes, plays and performs like Band-Maid! While I've watched Magie climb from an initial 6, when I first heard it, to a 7 and now an 8 (taken from a recent survey of my cerebral musical cortex ;-), I always appreciate the execution, sound and, once again, performance of all their songs... even starting with "Made In Japan," released in 2014 when I first became entranced with the Magical Maids. Nice one, thanks! "Mirror Mirror" is probably my favorite song from The Other ONE album. I absolutely enjoy the prog metal mixed with metalcore, the hardcore breakdown and that very, very BABYMETAL chorus. Also very fan of the pre-chorus (where they quote Shakespeare's MacBeth) and the modulation they did there. The live version is even better with Mr. Barone destroying those drums! 🤘🦊

Ironically, you watched one of the few BabyMetal videos that has subtitles, just didn't turn them on. But like you said, good music is god music, even if you don't understand it. :)

I like the progressive metal elements, that heavy breakdown and the existential questions. There's also a reference to Macbeth in the lyrics besides the obvious lines famously known by Snow White tale. Here's some official info: Mirror Mirror (MIRROR) _Mirror, mirror on the wall...this song embodies a parallel world where the world inside the mirror and the world of reality go back and forth._ _Is what you see in the mirror your true self or the self you wish to be?_ Mirror Mirror was the 5th and final single they released from this new album called The Other One released in March showing us a new sound and a BM side we've never seen before with this metalverse. This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, April 2023 with MomoMetal debuting as the new official third member, she was one of the avengers since 2019 and we're all proud of her. Also the BM logo change, it doesn't have the skull and the heart in the B letter, as well there's only three feathers in the logo unlike four prior to this. The Western Kami Band was in charge of these shows but the audio in the official MV is studio album sound. They performed this at the World Tour 2023/2024 and everyone were having a blast with their classic songs and the new ones. I highly suggest you to check it out "METALIZM", "MAYA", Believing and every song from this new album but with the live sound. Welcome back.🪞🦊🪞This was the first time Su-metal has channelled Snow White's step mother or that Moametal has quoted Shakespeare's witches from MacBeth - it is not the first time they've included Prog Metal in their songs. This video was filmed at their concerts on 1st and 2nd April 2023 - whenever it showed mirror images of the girls and the Kami Band who support them in all live shows one image was from 1st April and the 'reflection' was from 2nd April.
