The problem with election, besides that it’s unbiblical, is that it teaches God only forgives some people. In Romans Paul is teaching that God forgives, loves, and saves all people, Jews AND Gentiles. You’re twisting Paul’s teaching that God only chose some Jews and some Gentiles. What a ghastly thought! Here in Rom 9 Paul is dealing with the Jews’ objection that God wouldn’t be letting the Gentiles in at such a late date in history. Paul’s argument is that God can wait and choose to let in the people later. That’s what he did with Isaac and Jacob! And the Jews were furious. Paul’s was turning all of the scriptural bases that the Jews had been using for centuries to defend their unbiblical view of election back around in them to show that God had every right to let the Gentiles in now. Paul is actually destroying the ghastly doctrine of election, not establishing it.
