Seeig how there was pretty much no thermal paste at all on the old one it might be a good idea to remove the heat cartridge as well and check for some thermal paste there...

Fixed my exact problem. Just took it out, put it back in, screwed it down snug, and it worked

My old thermistors particules stucked inthe thermistor hole and I don't know how to remove those particuls and put the new one inside. Can you help me?

maybe using a sharp pointy metal spear you could dislodge these remains. Don't forget to apply thermal paste on the new thermistor so that the scratches on the hole's wall will not effect the temp readings.

WHAT IS THE STUFF YOU PUT ON THE SENSOR?

Thermal paste, like the one you put on a CPU to better transfer the temperature to the fan.

I replaced my heat block, but the new thermistor clip seems like it's too small to fit into the correct socket. Any idea why this is?

I have the same problem, that is why I am here. Maybe a difference between a S1 and S1pro?

I have a had some bad luck with print failures (not big failures) mainly from the adhesive I use to keep print stuck to bed. The failed part catches the wires to the thermistor and break like glass.

put the thermistor wires over the heat resistance wires

Big help on this! One thing that might help someone that helped me (i dont know if this is bad or not) but my original thermostat was stuck and the wires got pulled off so i put a small drop of isopropic alcohol in there and it loosed everything up to pull it out. I also had everything unpluged and the heating element pulled out and made sure not to touch it

Just do a PID tune and you will be ok.

after any printhead removal you need to recalibrate the Z offset and also a bed leveling is recommended
