Christmas Earrings with Procreate, Cricut and Shrink Plastic (step by step tutorial)
I make shrink plastic accessories. It's almost Christmas, so I made earrings in Christmas theme with gingerbread house and gingerbread man!

How long do u bake it in the oven?
Keep in the oven until it’s completely flat.
What paper do you use? Is that plastic?
Yes it’s called Shrink Plastic.

You are so inspiring! How many mm was the diameter of your earring stud?
Thank you! It started with 3.5cm width and shrunk to 1.5cm width.
Oh, I meant the stainless steel earring studs that you glued on with resin at the back of your creation. Wondering what is the size of the flat circle part of the earring

Is it work if I use Hairdryer??
I think a hairdryer will blow away the shrink plastic and doesn’t have enough temperature to shrink them.

Do u use normal colour pencil
I use prismacolor.
What kind of resin did you use?
I use uv resin.
What u use to cut the shape ?
I use Cricut to cut them.

Hi, I really enjoy your channel, never done shrink plastic craft, which side did you draw the face? sandy or smooth?
Hi there! I’m so glad to hear that 🥹 the shrink plastic comes in with one side smooth and other side rough when you purchase it, but I sand the both sides with sandpaper before drawing.
Is it possible to use the cricut joy compact for this? Btw, your works are soo cute
Thank you! 😊 I haven’t tried with Cricut joy to cut shrink plastic, so I am not confident to answer that question… but I’ve read several reviews that it can cut through plastic. A regular Cricut joy might be too small and you might need to adjust the size of the shrink plastic before cutting with it. There’s a Cricut joy Xtra that’s bigger than the regular one and I believe it can cut paper size materials.

You’re very welcome! 😊 I think uv gel nail products can be used as an alternative option.
@ will give it a try. You used uv resin to stick the ear post to the shrink plastic? Can we use super glue instead?

What white pigment do you use?
That’s resin.
Do you sand all your shrink plastics (for all your shrink plastic creations) or only for this hedgehog earrings? if yes, why? I would like to understand the purpose of this step. if this because it is too glossy to draw on with colour pencils?
Yes, I do sand all my shrink plastics. And yes, it’s because I use color pencils/pastel chalks for coloring.
