Right at 30km / 18 mi mile section of the Forest City/Scranton Steamtown Marathon, the route turns to follow the Lackawanna River along a gravel and in the rain muddy path!
The trees are beautiful but the puddle jumping was an added strain on already tired legs.

Usually for me, it's hydration. I have to eat a gel every 20min 🫠

It's funny how quickly we can bounce back from some surgery's like this and then other things like pulled muscles or tendinopathy can last weeks and weeks!
I still have my hamstring tendinopathy from over a year ago :(

an awesome video and performance, but I actually find the description of the video to be completely false. The course is just different and I think you know that. I would change or delete that. I would even help Running the marathon tomorrow and still thankful for the video

Awesome run man! I’m curious, how did you manage to film your whole marathon without your battery dying out? Again, congratulations on your run!
I just use a portable battery plugged into the USB port on the GoPro. Usually it helps the camera last a long time (unless the cable gets knocked out)

It was super empty. TBH it's only 2 miles, so not really a big draw for running a biking I suspect. Also it was early morning when I went so I could do another run later in the day lol

Great Video! Is this GoPro footage? How do you mount the camera to get so incredible smooth footage? And what settings do you use, if you don't mind sharing :)
I have a head mount with the GoPro set to "hyperboost stabilization" this produces a fairly good image but then I also process it through gyroflow for further stabilization and horizon leveling. Once it's gone through this process I do the final color, white-balance, saturation, volume tweaking to give it a nice deep color look
What an enlightened thing. Where I live, I doubt it would be allowed, without recourse to the courts.
It started very small, just a few blocks but as more and more people enjoyed the space, the city allowed it to grow!

Not only do I love this video and San Francisco which , right after New York is my favorite city in the US, but I love how quiet and peaceful it was. I think for me that puts an end to the rumors that San Francisco is lost to crime and vagrants. I couldn’t even spot one!
Honestly, I've never been a fan of San Francisco but that's because of how cold the weather is during the summer! lol This run was really fun and despite visiting San Francisco many times for work, I was able to explore some new areas of the city that were so fun to see in person. Glad you enjoyed the vibes!

I have a recommendation for a run that you can film. The boardwalk on the New Jersey side of the river from Port Imperial to Liberty State Park. Views of the city are amazing. Thanks for your videos, they are terrific.

Couple of notes, it is better to run North to South (i.e. Port Imperial to Statue of Liberty) because you always have the Freedom Tower as a target on horizon. Also, when you get to the train station (Lackawanna terminal for NJ transit) you actually have to run through the train station. You will see other runners running on platform in front of trains. Kinda neat, but best to do on a weekend, not on a weekday morning as very crowded. Thanks again for your videos, they are terrific.
