thats sick bro!
2:33 Guys, I think its the cardboard box
Very high quality videos Keep cooking 🔥 I'm also an indie game developer so this got my attention
Thank you 😊 It's an honor to hear that you're enjoying my videos!
Haven’t played it yet, so I might update this comment once I do, but from what I see, there’s one room that you play in to escape from. Just a suggestion, but what if there were more rooms (or at least one more) that you needed to go to to work on the puzzle? It could act as a way to make the gameplay more difficult, as you’d have to return to the main room to fend off the monster. Might also build suspense for the player, essentially having a time limit each time they go in the room. Not sure if that helps, but regardless, it looks like a fun horror game with a great concept!
Thanks for the suggestion! I'm actually working on another level, but this will not be connected to the first room, but I like your idea of having several room in one level I will experiment ;)
Thanks for including my pfp! I Will definetly buy your game
No problem 😊 I'm happy to hear you will buy the game, I really appreciate it!
You are really underated
Thank you :)
Wow so lil subs also good vid
Thank you 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Very cool! I also recommend adding symbols to the circles so that colorblind people can play too
Yes that is a good idea! It could be difficult getting the symbols clear enough with the balls being so small, I'll experiment with some options!
Looks Great!
Thanks! 😊 The memory and sliding puzzle still need some graphical improvements but other than that I am happy with how they turned out!
@@r8teful Yeah, they look fun and innovative, but I agree that they stick out a bit. Can't wait to play the game, though! Good luck!
EYO PAUSE A SECOND the game isn’t out yet is it?? How are people playing it? IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS GIMME MY GAME
ableton warrior 🫡
💪
if one socket is so good then why isn't there a two socket
Good question 🤔
The game is great but u need to change some models❤
Thanks, I agree, what models are the worst and need to change?
@@r8teful the monster specifically his hands, the generator , the telephone , and the lamp I think u should change these models still the game idea is fire keep working on it ❤️
just stumbled upon the "making my game scarier" video and I've got to say, I'm intrigued by this, i want to try it out whenever it gets released but... I am a steam deck user, i don't really have an actual pc, so I'll need to test it out when it's out, gl on the game bro 👍
I'm happy to hear that you are interested!😊 I'll be curious to see how well the game runs on a steam deck! I'll have a free demo released on steam closer to release so if you want you can let me know how well it runs then 😃

Hello new fan here :) i have a question are you gonna mobile support in your future game?
Hey! I can't promise it but if the game gets popular enough it will definitely be a priority for me to get it out on as many platforms as possible!
game doesnt even look scary
OMG Spore music???
Hahah no I've actually never played that game but I just listened to the soundtrack and it does have the same vibe. Maybe I'll add some just for you in my next video 😉
Oh, it’s not? What is it? It sound so similar! Ahh, that’d be so cool! I highly recommend trying it. It’s a bit old, but soo much fun!
I bet you cant add a third level to your game🤣
Challenge accepted 😎
i did NOT expect to see my profile picture in the first few seconds of this video lmao
😂 Hope you liked that little surprise hahah
I have a level idea Make a level with mirrors as a mechanic like you could use a laser to shine a light around a maze of mirrors to scare off the monster But the monster can break the mirrors in order to stop the light from the laser from scaring it
Wow! That's a very cool idea
Yay! One socket is getting an update. Great to hear!
Yes!! I'm glad you're excited 😄
Make the monster model much creepier
I have a video planned where I will make it much scarier 👻😏
What app are you using for sound effects?
Ableton Live 11 Lite :)
@@r8teful thanks
I can honestly give some personal suggestions I’m no game developer just some simple suggestions, realistic floating, and maybe possibly step sound could help distant crackle of a radio that’s very light and echoes through the corridors the monsters face can be seen if he’s close enough to the area you are currently looking at as a distant face, and maybe a possible camera mechanic he will occasionally destroy your cameras, making them not usable. This is where the next part of the thing comes in. If you wanna fix that camera, you have to enter the hallway, which is a sort of maze and reactivate the camera, if you’re not careful, he will find you The cameras can be necessary to see if he’s close or not and to save power if you overuse the camera, he will of course destroy it and this is only my idea of what can make the game better
Wow, thank you for the suggestions! 😊
I like that pixel dithering effect! Is it made with graph shader?
Thank you, the pixelization and dithering is happening from a single script I took from this GitHub repository 😊 github.com/GarrettGunnell/Post-Processing

By using ancient magic i summon more subscribers (Good vid)
Thank you powerful wizard for your help 🌌🧙🏻♂️
Could you please clarify the name of the sound program that you use?
I'm using Ableton Live 11 Lite (:
@@r8teful Think you🙂
Can't wait for the "Why onesocket is scary" and they just make a 10 minute video full of run on sentences
Some here 😂
The game was very nice, spooky and challenging. The art style is kinda too pixelated for my liking, but I understand why you went with it. The game was challenging, but not impossible. Took me 3 tries to beet it. It was spooky, but not horrific. That's definitely a plus. I would like to see more gameplay and story - deeper and longer lore introduction, more puzzles, more challanges, more mechanics and more maps. 8/10 Definitely will play the full version. As a gamedev myself, It is very nice to see games like this. Can't wait for the updates. Keep it up!
Wow, thank you so much for playing! I'm glad to hear that you are looking forward to more. It's nice to hear and it keeps me motivated to make the game as good as I can make it. Currently in the process of adding more mechanics and the full release will definitely have more levels and puzzles 😃
It was fun to play <3. This is something I want to find a middle ground. Working in game dev after your money making job is very hard, and will take a toll definitely. I'm hoping it gets better for us :)
Thank you for playing! Yeah, it is definitely a struggle. We got to keep pushing and not give up 😊
Nice! I like your videos i think your deserving of more subs than you have. I think the player movement is very natural and looks real, which adds a lot to the game.
Thanks (:
I like the movement in your game, im interested to know how did you achieve it :)
Thank you! It's very simple, the positions and look points are manually set as empty unity game objects. Then, in my player controller, I can set the position and look points depending on where I click 😁
wow shmow
Yeay shmey
this looks amazing I make games aswell this is def a intresting game idea good luck on it you deserve more subs man
Thank you for the kind comment! 😊
Great content man you need to hit 1k soon you deserve this sub
I'm glad you enjoyed the video (: Thanks for the sub I really appreciate it!
Thank you for being positive😊
Imo the monster isn't scary looking it looks like a marshmallow man
Wait until you play the game and see him looking at you from the darkness 😈
@@r8teful meh he looks like he just wants to give marshmallows
@@r8teful nah he still not that scary I could totally remaster him if I wanted to
Maybe try adding new environments and different levels with like a new monster for each level idk
Yes this is a great idea. I will for sure be experimenting with different monsters to make the gameplay both more interesting and unpredictable :)
Your game is very cool, you did a great job! But i think you should change monster model, hes fingers look like sausages(
Thank you for the kind work! Yeah the monster is not the best hahah, it will definitely need an improved scarier look 😅
@@r8teful Hello again. I thought for a while, and I suggest you help with modeling the monster! How do you like this idea?
Mobile version?
If the full version gets popular enough, I will definitely consider a mobile version! It would be totally possible considering the easy controls 😁
WHERE IS IT RELEASED ITS NOT OUT ON STEAMMMM!!!!
The full steam release will be out on Halloween this year. Untill then, you can play the current demo version on Itch :) r8teful.itch.io/onesocket
stupid question but what is the music you have playing in the background? the only one i know the name of is "lay-z-boy" from stranger things
I'm glad you liked the music! Here is the full list in order: Celeste - Resurrections, Lay-z-boy, Stardew Valley - Mines (Star Lumpy, Stardew Valley - Mines (Danger!), Celeste - Quiet and Falling, Gymnopédie No.1
@@r8teful thanks!
oh, shoot!! i just realized you need to update your steam page to have the new room, it still has the cardboard box one lol
Wow, thanks for noticing! Will update it soon 😁
IM ONE OF THE FIRST BEFORE YOU BLOW UPPPPP remember me
I WILL REMEMBER 👀✨
looks cool as heck
Thanks 😄
Bro, this is great! As a game developer myself i find projects like this very interesting!😊
Thank you 😊
i think maybe having more than one monster with a different behavior would help to give that sense of anxiety and stress maybe in time to time the power could run out and you have to charge a generator to put it back on or something like that. the game looks really good and the monster design is really great, maybe his hand could me on the ground and the wall, like you look at him while he was moving or something like that.
Those are some good ideas! Thanks for the comment 😃
@@r8teful i think what make fnaf successful, beside been a mascot horror game, is that you have to menage a loot of things at the same time, while have to deal with a loot of monster with diferent behaviors at the same time.
@@r8teful the game is full of potential.
i always recommend to improve graphics and the look of the game later, but if you dont know to do or what to add, then i suggest making the environment look better already. if you do this, you might get an idea for something after adding a certain detail, or a texture, or really anything. i haven't played the game, so i cant tell you what to add honestly. however, I do have 1 idea, but I'm not sure if you would even consider adding it, as it might be unnecessary, so, again, I haven't played the game, but one trope I see in a lot of fnaf fan games, is the ability to click somewhere, and then be able to walk there. I feel like this would make the environment seem bigger, have more depth, and seem a lot less dull. ill definitely try the game out sometime, and then come back later to make a proper idea list.
Thanks for the comment! I definitely think that having the player have places to move to could add a lot to the game. Will for sure be experimenting around with that idea
@@r8teful good luck! i really hope your game gets traction and you continue developing it and perhaps even future games.
