@@BBreezyJack i thought about later on and your right about tilting one side so as to get at the fuel pump, but in my case i want to remove the bed to get at some of the rust, these auto cartel , all of them...theres no excuse for that much rust if any at all, for a few hundred dollars more per car/truck rhey can prevent rust by galvinizing , zinc platting, better steel,,, but corp. greed is the thing $$$$...take care mate !!

Are you holding in the clutch still down shifting?

@@BBreezyJackit happens after I shift specifically after the bike is hot, I was cruising going 80 then hit the gas hard and it started doing it, rpm dropped to zero then back up to 8k and the bike jumps. Could it be the fuel pump?

Could be the stator and rectifier

Sound like you have trash stuck in your tank around the fuel pump, shine a light in the tank and see if anything looks a bit weird.

Took the gas tank off and pulled the fuel pump out, it was full of rust I guess the gas tank was decaying.

@@BBreezyJack my 2003 R6 is very rusty, same issue. Idk if yours will do the same thing but I have to prime the pump 4x to get the bike to move as if I were running from the cops, if I didn’t prime it, I can only go 80mph at 7k rpms, pull the throttle down, bogs out but doesn’t shut off, my gas tank is very rusty inside but clean on the outside, I guarantee that’s my issue

It does but they keep giving me the run around, one dealer said it’s under warranty but they can’t fix it another says no

@@BBreezyJack Sounds like you just have a power train warranty and are over 50k miles but under 100k miles or so many yrs... I forgot how many now... good thing is that shouldn't be too expensive.

@@SpinSatx I have the 70k mile warranty with less than 70k miles on it and haven’t had it long it expires in 2023 I’ve called Cadillac head quarters and I have someone helping me know find a shop. The part is pretty cheap I just don’t have a place to take it to to fix it

@@BBreezyJack Yeah the bushing are fairly cheap... Tapout Tuning is my tuner and aftermarket part choice over renick or zzp. Tapout does has a bushing kit for the m6 that may hold up longer than OEM.

I had to call GM direct and still had a hard time, they want me to take it 3 hours away and pay for the tow. While it under warranty.

@@BBreezyJack That’s crazy. I just bought a 2017 ats v auto. With 13700 original miles. The car is a fun little daily. Mine is also black and a DAILY target for birds. Hope that you get your car fixed to your satisfaction!

You figure this out ? Sounds like the pump if it worked b4 and fails after they change

@@benduncan3865 just put an oem fuel pump in and it’s still doing the same 😢 I know now it’s not the pump.

Check spark plugs, clean injectors. Buy yourself some injector cleaner aswell

I have taken it too two dealership one says no it isn’t covered and another day yes it is but they can’t fix it. The dealers are all 1-3 hours away from me. Other dealership are almost a month out in work.

What’s up! Sounds like you need to check your fuel injectors if you already haven’t, Then the gas lines, spark plugs. Then let me know what you find from there

@@BBreezyJack hey bro my bikes doing the same thing an I’ve replaced fuel pump an filter, cleaned an realigned my tank,cleaned fuel injectors .. An it doesn’t want to drive at all barley would go 70 mph an then has no horsepower … 2001 gxsr 1000

Yeah but not the inside of the actual pump I ordered a new from high flow they are awsome and there pumps are life time they will check it if I ever have this problem again oh if you get your inj cleaned contact Greg at proflo there amazing I race so.you know I'm in the know

Breezy, Was your bike bogging down when you was riding it? Would it only go up to a certain RPM and not have any power after that RPM

David Garrison yes it would get up to about 8k 8500 rpm then bogged down then rev back up it was like wth man took my tank off and went str8 after the fuel pump which was clogged up bad

@@BBreezyJack I'm not getting that high in my RPMs bogs down when I take off in first picks back up about 15 miles an hour I don't know what the RPMs are there. Now, I hit somewhere between 4200-5000

@@BBreezyJack that's when I hit that bogging. Now I got another Question on this!!! I took the factory exhaust off my bike. we completely rebuilt the bike & motor which consists of us doing these few things!!! ( Polished, milled and new valves in the head, The factory exhaust along with the exhaust valve actuator valve was removed, added a shorty slip-on in/on exhaust tip, added a Servo Buddy and change the wiring harness due to all the spices that was in the old. However we did not dude who rebuilt the bike is a really good friend of mine, he has a friend who owns a mechanic shop for bikes that told him he needs to get a power commander 5 and put on the bike because of the upgrade. He stated to him that if he would add the Power Commander that it would fix all of his problems!!! The bike is burning rich as hell and I burned your eyes when it is sitting there idling. It will run and rev completely fine as long as there is no load on the motor. so I really don't know if it would be the fuel pump that is causing that because of the burning rich!!! I mean I did take the fuel pump off and clean the primary canister fuel filter and it was pretty black but it really wasn't all that bad. In fact I took it off 2 days ago & yesterday and cleaned every bit of it with seafoam, brake cleaner and gasoline. Give me your opinion on what you would think/do!! "Order the fuel filter & Pressure Regulator (OR) The Power Commander5 because the dude that told my buddy he needed the Power Commander"? The dude who told my buddy that the pc5 will fix the problem was the one who actually rebuilt the bottom end the first time & knows that bike like the back of his hand!!!
