Lakeland Trails are some of the most inspiring trail running and walking events in the UK, all held within the spectacular landscape of the Lake District National Park. Designed for all ages and abilities, our trail courses range from 10km and 14km -18km, all the way through to half and full marathon distances. Each provide well marked and marshalled journeys along environmentally sustainable bridleways and footpaths that take in some of the most incredible countryside in Britain.
Lakeland Trails Dirty Double 2017
The finale of the Lakeland Trails Series in 2017 - a double header of the Helvellyn and Ullswater Trails. Spectacular scenery under the shadow of the Helvellyn Range, and a bridge running in her wedding dress after being married at sunrise on the shores of Ullswater!

A stunning half hour cruise aboard the Ullswater Steamer "Raven", being serenaded by Pete Lashley, brings competitors to the start in Howtown. Runners then complete either 10km or 14km routes along the most scenic lakeside trail in the UK to finish back in Glenridding

I have been running for a year and have taken part in a decent amount of HM & 10k road races, from Blackpool (shit) to Budapest (beautiful). Yesterday I took part in my first trail at the Hadrian's Wall HM and instantly found major love for trail runs. I can't wait to take part in future Lakeland Trails!
