It does not look like the funnest build but looks good all done. This is set to retire during the summer time so keeping my eye out on sale for this one. I think it might be a unique investment.

I purchased 2 of the flying bus for $38 each. Impulse buy before researching that set. Crossing fingers for a decent profit.

Dreamzzz and Friends have been knocking it out of the park. I definitely plan on snagging a few these hopefully this weekend.

I like the set but burned by the madrigal house, rereleased then zombie stock, but the avail on this is different, just as long as there is also the demand.

LEGO influencers ruined investing. People hoarding sets just to make a profit is pretty sad, in turn LEGO produces way more sets and extends retirement dates. The scarcity just isn’t there anymore.

*My experiences on LEGO Investing & my thoughts on this year specifically:* - Here you can get a common 30% discount on sets during their shelf life. Many people don't know that. - LEGO is becoming more & more popular to adults than to kids so kid themes aren't even worth investing in. - Some LEGO sets that are popular are invested in by many which actually backfires on them and the price doesn't rise. - Many people use the American market instead of the European market for buying stuff, even though that market is way cheaper. - Not all years are great for investing. I personally only invested in some sets through the years. 2023 & 2022 weren't the best. - 2024 is gonna be a better year for investing (especially Star Wars) but take into account that the number of investors is high. - Some don't have the patience to let a set get more expensive in more time. They try way too much to sell within 2 years.

i think the record player is not going to do well. tons of people bought regular sets because of the discounts and got the record player for free even though no one asked for it. the same happened to the brite bomber brickhead.

GReatful they gave us a deal on the el dorado fortress... That for 170, I added in a pick a brick order because the record player set is going on ebay for about 80 right now so its basically like getting that order upgrade for free with a little work and willing to part with it.

2023 was miserable for lego investing, immense amounts of people stashed sealed sets in their closets. most 23 sets still sell well below msrp. luckily people realized that the golden years of lego investing are long gone and that they would not 2x their investment within a 1-2 years. i think 2024 is also going to be pretty bad but i think it’s going to be better than 2023 because many investors left or scaled down due to 2023 disappointment. also many sets disappeared from the shelves during november, limiting supply.

Fun video. I logged on at 12 exactly, I was in the queue for 10 minutes and the Ninjago City Gardens was already sold out. I got the A frame, the Monkie Kid City of Lanterns and the Space shuttle along with some filler to reach the threshold

Good thoughts, the only place I might disagree a bit is that Amazon is really being fed a lot of sets after retirement, for exclusivity, & unlike Target, & Walmart, which will discount to clear them out, Amazon loves to keep the zombie stock at msrp, and that's what hurts, and keeps it in stock for long periods after retirement. Worse yet, sometimes on those lingering sets, they'll reset the original msrp by like 5-10% over the msrp, currently like 76989 LEGO Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck for $105.84, which is over the original msrp of $89.99. This kind of thing, while not too common, has been occurring on some sets for occasional periods, & from what people at Lego have told me, Amazon cherishes having lingering stock, on sets Lego is willing to oversupply them with, thus the lack of sales on those sets, to quickly clear them out, like the other retailers.

I just don't understand "Investing" in Lego, especially if you are a lego fan. There will be a lot of people who want those sets and they won't be able to get them because they've been bought by people who don't want them. Let's call it what it is... "Scalping".
