    Rather than the coffee filter,I use a non bleached organic cotton ball or “cotton round”. It works great! I do use the lab glass perc cones and I’ll never go back to a diy setup 😅 I just use the handle of a long silicone spatula to tamp the herb.

    How long would a sugar solution stay good?

      @@globaltsarina sugar based syrups are shelf stable up to 6 months at 1:1 (tea:sugar) solution, and up to a year or more at a solution of 1:2 (tea:sugar)

    Alcohol up to 100% is 50% water 50% alcohol, so the water soluble aspects are also drawn into the water.

      I think you meant 100 proof. I use 80 proof which is 40% alcohol and 60% water so it draws out both aspects.

      50/50 mix of glycerin and vodka would do it. Simply omit the water portion.

      Wonderful video. My o factory Nerve was cut in surgery years ago. No sense of smell.. I always wonder about aroma therapy. Doesn't work on lots of smell people.. 😕 Anyway love your video

      You can harvest and dry them yourself, or purchase these from any bulk herbal supplier, such as Mountain Rose Herbs.
