We are crucified with Christ. We can’t “deny ourselves” “give ourselves to God” “sacrifice ourselves”, Jesus himself took us on himself and we were crucified with Christ. Romans 6:1-7 Galatians 2:19-20 The only way we live as sacrifices is by seeing ourselves crucified with Christ and dead to the law. Romans 7:1-7 We receive the spirit and walk in the spirit through faith apart from the works of the law. Galatians 3:1-6

And many people think "Oh no i doubt all the time I'm Not a Christian" But that simply False. There is No Christian who doesn't sometimes Doubt, Doubt is normal as a believer. I relate with what you are saying, I have learned that our hearts have unspeakable communication, like the mind, the brain has thoughts, the heart has something similar, but for those who know Christ, it’s his presence, unseen but known. It wasn’t until recently I realized the station of my heart has been in a good place since I was young, because I questioned if I was doing the right thing and if I wasn’t, I felt I was doing wrong and wanted to make it right, not all have that and I believe it has to do with Christs humility. Elijah surely used scripture from the word of God the Old Testament or Old Covenant or Agreement and fire did fall from heaven. The more you get right about God the more he shows up. God is a spirit those that worship him must do so in spirit and in truth. John 4:24 Don't just have faith, have faith in God, and his word. There is surely a type of extreme unpleasantness already in the Earth, have you seen it, are you delivered from it? Job 38:17 "Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?" Job 38:33 "33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?" As a child, I would have dreams in be in many nightmares where underground tentacle monsters could sense my slightest movement and impel me, wars, dreams of persecution, the grim Reaper, things would get wild. Look at the Greek interlinear and see what to it says. Love is kind while not provoked and is out to to preserve and protect you not always for your short-term satiation but your long-term health, wealth, and viability. John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." amen! this has been something that God has been continually reminding me of lately. sin is truly so destructive & whenever i feel that my flesh is craving sin, i ask God to break my heart for what breaks His; to hate the things that separate me from Jesus. i don’t want to love the things that bring nothing but disorder and destruction. but like you mentioned brother, we need His help to truly flee from sin. we can’t do it on our own!

…. I have been experiencing the same thing. I had a Dream but it wasn’t at the same. Had my eyes open saw a black shadow and as funny as it sounds it looked like the dementor from Harry Potter. I couldn’t speak and couldn’t shout. All i remember was my lips being shut and trying to scream Jesus name… Until i finally did i screamed with such fear and it stoped. Ever since i chose to follow God i have been experiencing weird things in my life.
