Update: Congratulations to RainZI for beating this score with a whopping 3,161,104 points! We're hitting the limit's of what's possible with ST stacking in the game, so the next WR is probably going to be using something new. This strategy arose from the help of the good people over at the Tetris.com Tryhards server discord.gg/xWUdHa3vH2 The first glowing mino shows up when you clear your fifth line, then the rest show up on a timer. Clearing the minos makes the multiplier go up and not clearing it makes the multiplier go down, but it caps at 10x, so if you let a mino expire at 10x and immediately get the next one, ...

I was at level 21 here, but all you need is the 'Wild Strikes' Ash of War and a light weapon, and you can probably do this at any level.

What auto repeat settings are the best
I play on 170/50 (default), where in the last couple levels the lock the auto-repeat delay is longer than the lock delay, which means if I change the direction a piece is going the piece will lock instantly. Generally speaking, it's going to be easier if you shorten the auto-repeat delay (so it doesn't insta-lock), and lengthen the auto-repeat speed to give you more time to decide where to put pieces.
I can’t believe you would try to trick the community like this. Everyone knows that using T-spins is cheating. I mean, look at the website itself. The scoring table clearly has the Tetris™ Line Clear highlighted in yellow, which means it’s the best one. This is Tetris, not T-spin. And don’t even get me started on the ridiculous controls. No self-respecting player would ever use arrow keys over the site-recommended mouse controls. It’s such a shame that you end this run with a showcase of genuine talent when you aren’t willing to put effort into the earlier parts. overall 6/10 run

Works well. Works with normal battle axe that is available rom Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold for 800 runes (a 1x lvl 3 golden rune). To use the ability as shown here you just hold the skill attack button, don't mash it and don't let go.
how did you do level 28 starts?
Maybe I should’ve used the ashes of war you used. I was just going in basically vanilla on a samurai build. It took me about an hour and a half to do but I needed to beat him since I had just gotten all of the runes from killing Mergit the Fell
I used "Wild Strikes" which I think you get from the camp outside the castle where Margit is

By the time I get to level 10 I have 55k and the time you get to level 10 you have 315k, why is this its not fair :(
If you clear multiple lines at once you get more points, and if you do a T-spin, which is basically when you clear lines by rotating a T piece into somewhere it can't normally go, you get even more points. I use a system that does a lot of T-spins and some tetrises (4-line clears) to get scores like this one

Is that possible to get 4 million?
Based on what we know right now, not really. Even the most efficient tspin loop can't score more than 814 points/line and the game ends after you beat level 30, which doesn't give you enough lines to hit 4 million. The only way it might be possible is if we find a loop that mixes tspins with tetris PCs (clearing the board with a tetris) without burning lines. I'm trying to find one but we're not even sure it's possible.
I think you can't make any mistakes,If you got 298 lines,at level 30 you need to make a tetris,if you can,you will make all clear and put the pieces faster

@@ineedtoget10000subs Just looking at the line clears from loops, scoring 814 points/line the whole game can get you 3,785,100 points. You can get a bit higher with hard/soft drop points, more tspin singles at the end, etc. but I don't think it'd be enough to crack 4m (and I don't think doing the 814 points/line loop perfectly in the last few levels is really feasible)

Mouse strats! I switch to mouse controls for a couple seconds to get the piece somewhere it wouldn't be able to go with the keyboard. There's a couple other times I use it in the run, but that one's probably the most elegant
