    bought our tub off of Facebook.I wanted one for many years.We spent a bit more than what i wanted to but was exactly what i dreamed of.Only 2 years old and found out it was a $10k tub when new and I paid $5300!Top of the line tub with foot jets,steel frame,plastic pan,etc.The one thing that even i was surprised at was and is the details to get one up and running correctly.We put down concrete in the spot for it under a deck.Did this myself along with a concrete friend.Cost of that 15'x12' pad was roughly $1k.all rebar and 4-5" thick.Then came the electrical.A 240v hot tub needs 6 gauge wire along with a gfci breaker box outside.This was roughly another $750 just in parts.I did the electric myself and turned out fine.So now my $5300 hot tub is up to $7K!Still a great deal but just food for thought for people out there.Then came the chemicals to get you going,another $250 for the Frog Ease system and some extras to get u through a year.Frog ease lasts for 3 months generally give or take and will cost u $100or so for another 3 months.These are Facts in my experience.nice stuff and good luck to all. on extra way to keep the heat in is to get a scrap piece of solar cover they use on pools to keep the heat in.I got some and cut it to fit and you can actually notice that with it on that barely no steam escapes from the water.better than nothing,maybe a pain for some but any little bit helps in the northern climates.

    Brilliant! I carry most of these items in my SidexSide and Quads when I go into the mountains but it's challenging to get that amount of storage on a sled. I'm a trail rider, but still need to be properly prepared. The super shelter is my go to, especially in the winter but I love the BBQ cover and candle idea....sometimes the wood just won't burn! Carrying a small stove is also brilliant for melting snow, cooking something and even as a heat source when the wood/fire isn't cooperating. I'd love to hear the full story on the event, and I'm also looking forward to part 2! Very well done video! Thanks for sharing your story.

    • @goliathgetsitdone2674
      @goliathgetsitdone2674 3 года назад

      Thank you Gord! Funny, you are in the forest with wood all around you! But you can't get to it ( snow is too deep) or it won't burn. Its kind of like being stranded at sea and being thirsty! We were is 6' of snow on a huge incline, so getting to the tree you needed to was almost impossible. I will be doing part 2 (using the equipment in my bag) fairly soon! I will also do a video on how this whole situation happened in the first place. Please share this video with your people (Facebook or whatever ) and maybe it will help someone!

    Excellent video on things to have in a survival pack and things to consider when you go in the back county! I remember the scary call from Mount Robson Search and Rescue team that they couldn’t locate the guys and would have to leave them there till find them in the morning. This was the FIRST time they left someone on the mountain overnight. It was full survival for these guys and they should not be alive. Share with friends and family that go back country or quad, sled, hike, or backpack, etc. For Survival gear that works to stay the night in -12 Celsius !! So Thankful to all the guys that helped on and off the mountain trying locate them, and especially the rescue TEAM for saving them and getting them out alive before -30 temps hit - outstanding people!!!
