the portrayal of female rage in film.
For our final project, I decided to make a short film showing the different ways female rage is expressed in film, as well as its comparisons and contrasts to how male rage is portrayed. I spent days deciding which direction I wanted to go with this film before stumbling upon an interview with actress Anya Taylor-Joy in which she says that female rage is rarely explored accurately in film, which gave me this idea.
The film concepts I included in this film are the role of women, use of transitions, and sound design.
The role of women in film- the characters, actresses, and directors- is integral in deciding where the scene goes.

we always get our emotions dismissed its like ignored because they always see us as sensitive dramatic or that were just on our period but our feelings, opinions and values matter too
A lot of people think anger is a sinful emotion but it’s literally not. There are things you should be angry about. While you can sin while being angry, using it in the right way is really the best feeling.
So much drama...all y'all need jesus...

You used Taraji's Hidden Figures monologue about racism and the struggles unique to black womanhood - but you layered white women crying over her voice. I mean seriously. That is next level Karen editing.
EXACTLY it’s like they haven’t even seen the other shows and what those other characters are like. Cassie from Euphoria gets with a guy who abused her best friend literally just because he’s tall and handsome. Scarlett Johanssons scene was just some overintelectualized drivel that was ultimately about two upper class coastal elites getting a divorce and psychoanalyzing it. And then that girl who let a baby eat her addict-boyfriends drugs! I don’t even understand how those compare to the lady who is doing everything RIGHT at NASA and still getting mistreated
The thing about fiona is i love how he got mad at her because if she went to jail he would have to drop out of school to take care of everyone it had nothing to do about liam, but that is exactly what fiona had to do and when she was alot younger then him they always blame fiona for everything but she did not ask to become a parent when she was barely even a teenager yet she stepped up and tried her best to give them the best life but no matter what she does she is in the wrong she is trying her best she is so stressed out and she is barely older then a lot of them yet they blame her for every bad thing that happens
Impotent rage.

My dad has explosive rage, but when I let my rage flow even my Dad will go silent and just let me go
2:58 brought me back to a place i thought i left. i was cassie at some point and nate was my father. there is something so deep about that performance that felt so raw and pure. ive never seen the show, so i dont have the full context, if im wrong, please correct me. either way, sydney sweeney deserves an emmy.
Not them putting Nate form euphoria 😀😀
one of my favorites is zendaya asking for drugs
Hidden figures is not female rage.
tbf, fiona wasn’t in the right in these scenes, her brother was
seeing nates tantrum made me think you were including him in the female rage which made me chuckle
I’m so done bro
I think true feminity isn't actually real, because many woman have different lifestyles and cultures, perspectives, conditions, etc, Lana music is obviously targeted towards woman, but she isn't the peak of feminity bc every girl happens to live a different kind of feminity which may be very more like lana del rey music or may not too, and all of them are valid, sorry if my comment might sound offensive it's not my intention, i'm a woman and i don't relate a lot with lana music even though i like listening to her, she's lovely, i just came with this observation with the description, anyways, i loved your video!

Rage is an emotion everyone can go through, in these clips these women are literally going through something important in their life to cause them to rage and break because of it. Everyone rages based on the situation or trauma, not the gender.

I’m so happy to see such lovely people here. Keep spreading the love!
I have a love hate relationship with being a woman
The hidden figure lady always gives me chills
Okay but sydney's was genuinely TERRIFYING
Male rage and female rage are both just anger to me tbh.
i think sydney sweeney portrayal and performance of just saying "ok. bye." was absolutely perfect for female rage. the red eyes after screaming and just everything about it
So glad Katniss’s clip was added in here
The fact that I started laughing when Nate showed twice…😂

The boys in my classroom just cannot control their emotions and call us the emotional ones (the girls in my class, not talking generally). They cannot keep their mouths shut and cannot compromise during an arguement, such childish behavior. They rebuttal against our teachers to the point of faces turning red (teachers). They're so infuriating. So immature and disrespectful. They could act like a decent person but no, they want to have it their way. I just wish they'd get expelled from school already because I'm sure there are a lot of children out there that would be greatful for an education, unlike them. But i do not want to wish that upon anyone so I just sincerely hope that they can finally mature, realize how idiotic they are, and fess up for their mistakes. So many days I attended school with a headache. So many days without a proper lesson because they can't stop fooling around. So sick and tired of it. I'm leaving the school and won't be attending next school year. I am positive this school is much better and I can't wait for the day that I can leave those immature kids who think they're cool just because they argue with teachers and disrespect everyone. Pure. Bliss. Is what I'll feel.
the "Ok, bye" got me. Thats me when the rage comes full circle. I'm so full of rage I'm calm. All men can do is punch a hole in dry wall.
😢
anger is anger
my favorite part was when all of the women were composed at the end of exploding, whereas all the men broke down and threw tantrums
So male rage is always irrational and always around women not being submissive while female rage is about fighting for herself and against patriarchy and rational to the core.
Why are you making it so deep? It’s just portraying female rage because society expects them to be all perfect about every problem. So it is representing something not many things are represented for. That’s all. ☺️
That’s not true, female rage and male rage are the same except men are more sensitive to it. Literally no one said anything about patriarchy btw?
