Love is just around the corner // Lisbon story
Просмотров 582 года назад
So I did a solo travel to Lisbon with in my mind making a short travel recap. The theme was going to be ‘sounds of Lisbon’ but I met some crazy Italian girls so when I checked my footage at home, I just had to change the theme to ‘Love is just around the corner’. I hope you like it!
What camera did you use and did you shoot in log or raw?
@@CHILL3435 I used the Sony fx3, Helios 44 and shot in slog3
@ interesting workflow!
where i can get the lut ?
I think your workflow is a bit off which could cause problems and you can see that your rec709 looks kinda weird. It seems like you are working in a Davinci YRGB project right? Like you are not color managing on a project level? Your first node doesn't really work. Now your IDT is pretty much a "null" node IF your source footage was shot in DaVinci intermediate which I can only assume it wasn't since you would have to transcode it into Davinci intermediate and then reimport it. The correct way would be to choose your inputs as slog 1-3 whatever you shot on then out to Davinci intermediate.
@@Glaskruka hey man! My technical knowledge about davinci resolve is pretty bad. I would love you to explain it to me on a quick call. You can send me an email to arrange a meeting! Max.degelin@outlook.com
@@maxdegelin8474 from my knowledge if you choosing davinci yrgb color managment, you dont neet the two nodes of idt and odt. I very reccmend on this video ruclips.net/video/hgVqUATQSMg/видео.html. However you did very nice color grading
@ If you work in a YRGB project (keep in mind a YRGB project doesn't do ANYTHING for you) BUT if you want to color manage in nodes to davinci intermediate you do need a IDT and a ODT. The IDT goes FROM the camera source colorspace INTO Davinci intermediate the ODT is your transform into whatever monitoring you want. Rec709 2.4 for example. I can email you Max but I have time end of february/beginning och March. Lots of work at the moment.
@ Yeah that's fine
Thanks a lot! I cropped the resolution of the image a bit to get that "anamorphic" feeling, just a little bit sad cause you lose the character of the helios at the bottom and top...
Nah this is mad fire, i dont even understand the language and watched the whole thing because the visuals tell the story too.
@@mashi_rsa 😆😆 yeah I’m from Belgium. But thank you so much!
@@maxdegelin8474 You did more than good dawg
Interesting workflow. Because you’re working in a color managed workflow you don’t need CST going in and out of Davinci wide intermediate. Simply click clips and right click and set the input color space for your camera. That maps your camera color space to HDR then you can proceed to grade.
Thank you for the advice! Gonna try it out this day :)
Can you make a tutorial on color grade of you're clip or can you give the xml file with the clip. thank you have a great day
This is the tutorial of the color grade?
Loved this! Is there a reason to change exposure on the HDR color wheel tab over the primaries color wheel tab using offset?
@@TyCottle Hi, I like to start with a neutral whitebalance and a correct exposure before I go to my other nodes. Worked fine for me in all my color grades
the HDR one tells you the exposure in stops, which I also kind of prefer. Not sure if they actually change the image in a different way, when you choose your gamma in the HDR wheel area (3 dots)
clean ✨
@@Fayekry Thank you! :)
Maaaan you couldn't come in a better moment, I just cames back from Fes and got some shots I need to color grade, Thanks!
Goodluck man!
Dope edit, and love the colors mate! Looking forward to see you grow 😉
Thank you so much! :)
Great one! What Color Management did you use for this one? Assuming you did Davinci Resolve YRGB Color Managed | HDR DWG | Rec.709-A - same as George the Colorist.
YRGB Color and I changed Rec.709-A to Gamma 2.4
Good job😇 Name Lens?😋

How did you color grade the whole thing? Especially the interview shots?
@@J.K.productionsDE would you like a tutorial of it?
@maxdegelin8474 Absolutely! Your last tutorial was amazing already! (Asked how you like the luts by george, and if you use them regularly... Would really appreciate an answer!)
@@J.K.productionsDE I just replied on your question about the lut in the other video! If you would need more help, add me on instagram and we can call about it! studio.morphia
Would like to hear your opinion about the K83 Luts by george - do you think they are worth it compared to the inbuilt film looks?
Well, since I’ve used them in my color grading proces, it felt like it was much easier to get a cinematic look. But I think you can get the same results with the built in film luts. Just figure out what works the best for you :)
Straight up Cinema Quality.
Dude thats straight up looking like a Movie. Amazing Tutorial could you go more in depth? would love to learnn from you.
Would you like a tutorial with a different clip this time? :)
