Sometimes I think the scooters outside the custom show don’t get as much love as they deserve which is why this video is just the ones outside. There were plenty of stunning ones with the sun on them.

@@4th_Lensman_of_the_apocalypse it’s an italjet dragster. An older scooter from 90s/2000s I believe. They’ve just brought out a newer model but it’s a four stroke.

It’s amazing to think they’re so old and do the miles they do when they’re only designed to pop down to the shops on.

Kelso has to be in my top 3 favourite rallies every year. Perfect combination of a rally campsite with on site activities and a town with a good pub crawl. Only disappointment this year was it seemed like there was a lack of stalls but that’s not a huge miss really.

Thanks mate means a lot! The scoot is off the road at the minute and with everything that’s been going on I’ve not had a chance to get it sorted. Not even a big issue either, just taking me some time to get around to it.

Theres nothing quite like the sound hitting your ears as the smell of two stroke oils fills your nostrils. It was part of the reason I put the dragster engine in the scomadi. Glad you enjoyed!

I tried going down a muddy farmers track and it was pretty abysmal tbf. The shocks are too stiff for all the bumps. I think you'd be better off getting a super moto or similar if yoire wanting off road and road.

Yeah I'd go for a super moto or an adventure bike then. They're both a lot more suited for off road.

Yes one of the best things about the scene! It's great seeing people of all ages from all backgrounds there for a general love of scooters and the music.

Yeah mate me too, always love doing the knaresborough ride so seeing it cancelled was a shame. Can only hope some of the later rallies are still on.

Aye mine is a 172 malossi as well. Just had a PM pipe put on but not had a chance to have it out yet as needs an mot. I've been dossing about on an lml as well but think I'm getting rid of that one

Mines also needs an mot as it is not new 3 years are up

The scomadi was having a bit work done to it and I needed a scoot for the IOW 😂

Depends how cheap you can get the engine for. Mine was a stock 125 so I had more to pay for the kit and all the tuning bits but I'd say around the 1000 - 1500 mark

Scottmadi - brill thanks! I was wondering if I should put a few quid into the GY6 or bite the bullet and go 2 Stroke. Yours runs and sounds really good, I’ll check the tuning company out.

@@davespooney8472 theres not much extra to be gained from trying to tune the gy6, can put hundreds in with only a few mph difference.

Scottmadi - thank you. It seems heat is the biggest enemy of the gy6, tuning certainly won’t help that!
