Unfortunately this is a pass for me. Locally we have one game shop with tables and those are booked months in advance for 40k and DnD. I've tried to get a game going with people other than my kids for over a year with nothing to show for it. Not due to people not know what OPR is, but rather they're highly invested in 40k. The alternative is driving 1-2hrs to Austin (depending on traffic) or to Waco, TX (again 1-2hrs depending on traffic) for what might be 2 or 3hrs of game play. Total time might be 10hrs, that's a full day of work for little game time or return.

Loved the interview. Been playing OPR with friends and they've been very receptive to it. Printed out chibi imperial guard for my daughter to play our "Dice Game." She loves painting, too.

I'm in. First event is open games at Cincycon at the end of February.

40k 8th was ok, 9th and 10th push too hard for competitive play and are way too bloated with rules. I started with GW back in 5th ed.

This is the kind of thing I really want to do but I'm a bit limited. Content is the best thing I can offer at the moment though it isn't much.

I signed up, but the group I am in already is doing what they want. We are just hoping it helps other people find us easier.

I feel like one event a month is a really high bar. My local group is trying to figure out how we can spread the work around and get one person to kind of be the representative for the Ranger program.

I would love to join, but my wacky night-shift work schedule really makes in impractical for me. Still, I think it's a great idea and I hope it's really successful! And foo on that rigerwhatever guy, I really enjoy OPR's more dignified lore than W40k's cartoonish sexism.

Finally, this is great. Ive been trying to get into OPR but i cant find anyone willing to play with/get me started. Cant wait to see this play out

Nope, Ive done thankless free promotion in the past for other games, I'll take a huge pass. I really don't like OPR's lore, but I do like their rules, that's all OPR is to me.

Just stumbled across this after being stomped by a Burrower in my casual 2k game. I see some comments around an HDF update and creating lists side-by-side there's not a humongous difference outside the obvious cost optimisations, do you still think your take is necessary? Also I can't figure out what the 'Veteran Infantry' option is supposed to be on the Command Squads, has no cost or Rules Text, is this an option that's no longer supported or perhaps a bug? 🤔

@Ratmen Clans Who need Fearless and other abilities, when you just overrun the enemy with Bodies and Activations...? Most Armies can´t handle 90+ Models as opponent. Also the Drill Tank (Fast Ambush Tank with 21 Transport) is a really Unique and strong Unit. You should really think to put "Quantity" and "playing the Activation" game into consideration for Tier Lists.

Why do you use 3000 pts for tournament standard when the opr tournament rules lists 2000 pts?

I think there is an issue with the Werewolf Brothers unit. I can't replace the weapons because the names are wrong. Looks like base comes with dual heavy hand weapons and to change your have to replace heavy claws. Also the Wolf destroyer unit you built in your list is 670 but when I replicated it is only 620. I wonder if it's a glitch because what would have dropped 50 points?

Great Video ..liked and Sub'd. I'm totally new to One Page Rules and GW means nothing to me. I'm looking to play with OPR with my Star Wars Imperial Assault minis. So would be great to do a video on how to make a custom Empire and Rebel army list, video demoing a similar proxy army, a video for total noobs on how the stuff on OPR actually works assuming no GW knowledge. Other videos seem to stress that OPR is mainly a GW replacement and use all of its lore which is confusing to us noobs. Appreciate any help you can provide. Also, other video would be to discuss what you get with OPR patreon verses the free download rules.

I hate to say it, but I suspect we'll get a Witcher redux--the first season will have immaculate vibes and cool set pieces and set up some neat conflicts, but as it continues no one will be happy with the resolution of those conflicts. Also I worry GW's kind of floaty inconsistent lore will work against them.

What happens when Warhammer 40k goes mainstream? The same thing that happens to ANYTHING that goes mainstream.

I'm excited. I love the universe but loath the game and GW's persistence on making it as inaccessible as possible.

I hate how admech is positioned in the lore right now. Every time the admech character is mentioned in the lore 9/10 he is from Mars. All the other forge worlds don't exist or are poorly built. All of them except Stygies VII have the same view as Mars. So I'm making my own forge world. with 30k tech + 40k tech. Isolated for 5000 years, and with the power of a neutron star, they deal with everyone and fight with everyone.

Also why the whip limbs for the burrower? I can see it whipping any chaff but giving it the ap3 attack would crush pther big targets

Why choose psy barrier for a 6 save when you can get Regen for same cost and a 5 up save?

Very instructive, and understand better why i struggle at 1500pts. What is your counter mesure against "tunnelers" and others ambushing 1" away with "auto hit" after setting?

As a TTRPG player, lore geek and miniature painter I'm looking forward to Trench Crusade. There's so much potential to turn it into an RPG version. Hope that's on the roadmap.

I'm trying something similar with my 3k dao, three grunt leaders with caster, shotgun, spotting laser so I can actually get to use spells more than once a game

It can get kind of finicky but also think about the base size and model count of their ambushers, if all models can't fit on the board they can't deploy there so you can actually squeeze out more than a nine inch bubble
