Was eager to explore the highly rated breakfast. And I have to agree with many positive comments. However the pastries were very average for a five star hotel and a I would have expected a greater selection of breads. A relatively modest selection of self service items. A limited choice of fruit though perhaps the time of year/cost has a bearing. Despite having a patisserie within the hotel lobby, the pastries were very poor. They all seemed either stale or overcooked but certain dry. The club lounge of Bahia del Duque in Tenerife called Casa Ducales. A la Carte menu available with seating indoor or outdoor and continental breakfast. Open early until 11:00pm large selection of alcohol available all day. Beer and soft drinks in fridges below spirits.

My observations: Eggs are precooked and kept warm in individual servings. No egg chef. No bacon! Very poor bread selection No muesli or porridge. Limited fruit.

Ahh they have paired down the breafast.. when we went there 18 years ago the breakfast was INSANE..as in hell of a lot of food.. tons and tons... chefs making you omlettes etc etc. Still a lovely place.
