Awesome jig What brand of 2x72” belt grinder do you own???
the proper way to ground that fixture box is by at minimum wrapping it clockwise around one of those fastening screws but proper way is buying a green ground screw or grounding clip as an FYI if you are doing this in the U.S.A.
That is an odd approach to the Z axis
Omg. I was good until the firmware. Did u make up the wood pattern? Cheers 🍻 and nice... 🇨🇦
Interesting upgrades to the lowrider. I'm in the process of ordering bits for one now. Intending to use mine for mainly plywood and acrylic cutting, but the info on aluminum milling opens up a new area for the machine. Did you consider one of the spindle upgrades for better bearings and tool holding? Nice belt grinder by the way. Already built one of those....
I also broke the z axis main section when tightening the screws. Reprinting and pre drilling this time !
Not great, not terrible
Can you add a full list on parts used? I like how you did the lamp to the ceiling but I am not sure what parts you used.
Unfortunately, it includes 2 parts which were custom sketched and 3d printed, I'm fine sharing those as 3d models, however it might be not something useful outside of my specific case.
What was the cover you put over the light with the large nut to weigh the light down? I have a project like this and I like that idea.
The large nut is just that a nut that was large enough to fit around the wire. The Plastic cover was something I quickly sketched and 3d printed inhouse.
How do you prevent electrocution?
Check minute 53, the switch attached to the door would disconnect power when door open.
That's clever
👍🤝🤟
you still running this setup ?
Use it sporadically, mostly to flatten large chunks of wood. Build a larger table for this machine to ride for that purpose.
That's super cool, I want to build one the same, everyone at the Forums is pushing the LR3 but this design seems a bit more versatile.@@cantsitstill9056
that is a smart idea to make corner brackets out of those struts. going to remember that one
Wow! You have a full machine workshop set up in your home! Impressive

Hi man , nice work !!! K saw other video of this project and some use only One SSR and some 2 SSR , can you explain me why didd you use 2 of It ?
In USA, standard outlet power is 110V, which is low for this application. All the appliances that need to draw more power work on 220V (electric ranges, dryers, heaters, EV charges). US houses are wired for what is widely called split phase 240VAC, on two hot legs (1 & 2) and Neutral at the center tap. The neutral is referenced to earth at the breaker box. For most outlets in the house, either leg 1 or leg 2 is used together with the neutral line to provide 120VAC for most small appliances with a plug-in cord. The two legs appear to be 180 degrees out of phase with each other if looked at simultaneously which provides 240VAC. So you need one SSR for each hot leg. In Europe 220V is on single hot leg and hence you need only 1 SSR.
@@cantsitstill9056 thank you man for your exhaustive explanation , now everything is more clear !!!!
I love this and am doing the same with wine barrel staves, where did you find the black covers for the light sockets?
Those covers are DIY 3D printed
Thank you so much I can stop looking now
Just getting myself ready and tooled up for knife making and this is definitely on my list, not got a CNN machine but I will do the best I can, good stuff
I'm sure this can be done without CNC, CNC just makes those wholes and slots neat
While I've seen decent jigs with ok designs, this is the best jig I've ever seen. Well designed, well executed and even better, it works excellently.
Great project. Making a precision jig to make precision knives. Using aluminum instead of scrap steel is another positive. It's fun watching someone who knows what the f**k he's doing. Well done Sir 👏
Thanks for your kind words!
Are all the 3-D printed parts from a kit? I’d appreciate the name.
💪🔥🔥🔥

Awesome video !! 3 years later and still going strong. I live in the. i looked at comments and you talked about the 200v at each leg and US has 120 at each leg. So using in your calculation 120 sq. is 14400 / 3200w would be 4.5. Resistance I would use would be using would be 4.5 R. How would I figure the length of wire to coil. The only way I think to figure the length is by using wire diameter per length of resistance.
If memory serves me I figured out length by trial and error using ohmmeter.
isn't getting hot outside? There no insulation on the bricks just sheet metal.
Awesome video! But I’m seem to have some issues having it clamp tightly. What would cause for it to not grip the way I want it to? Is my gap too big where the threads go?
I can't say for sure why your setup doesn't get the right grip, I don't think gap would matter. Maybe parts are oily? Maybe hole too wide?
Nice Build! Im curious as to why you rounded the corners? Aesthetics? or were you concerned a thermal buildup at the corner?
Corners rounded to make it easier for a sheet metal wrap.
What were your measurements for the hinges? I’m trying to guess but I’m not sure. Great video I’ll be linking to it from my video.
they are roughly 2" x 3"
But that annoying sound playing the whole time though
WOW!!! That’s all I have to say. By any chance do u have the files for the new aluminum brackets made on his vid. And thank you
Here's a link: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4662197
great video, how many feet of 22g resistance wire? Approx...
It was less than a full roll of 100", I'd say around 70" or so.
It would be awesome if you could upgrade your tutorial with the latest LowRider v3 & SKR Pro 1.2!
Awesome
Ну это не серьёзно
Всё шикарно!
wow you made it look so easy, thank you Can you post a video of the program you are using and how to program the machine pleas :)
how wide are the tubes
48 inches
Can you sell it to me Aluminum XZ part
Thank you so much for taking time to record, organize, edit and post this construction! Was a teraphy watch the full build. I usually do not comment on anything. But you deserve it! I suggest you that are watching the video to do the same! As a little thank you.
Thanks.
i was thinking a taller design but you’ve proved that doesn’t improve suction performance, but what about dust separation performance? if the inlet is as far from the vacuum port then “it should” not send as much “fine dust” back to the filter, yes ? have you tested this ? what configuration did you end up with ?
I end up building DYI cyclone separator using information found here: billpentz.com/woodworking/cyclone/cyclone_plan.php
@@cantsitstill9056 : wow, that site is full of information. thank you btw, i bought two of those separators from home depot since i don’t have the time to go thru all this, but i have a clear tube t he at approximately 16” in diameter and 50” long and the wall thickness is 7/8” it’s a good size clear plastic tube. not sure if i’ll use it for the thein part or the collection barrel or both. any thoughts?
Where did you get that wire connector? I am doing a similar project and can't find one
Something like this: amzn.to/3tKvr5X
What are the profile dimensions you used?
Those are 45-9090 and 45-4545 profiles, got them used on FB marketplace locally for a fraction of the cost.
thats a pretty nice table. i wish i have the skills or the access to aluminium profiles to mill the xz parts my self. im in the process of printing a new LR2 to see if i can make it work (in some reliable way) tilted at 45/60 degrees now just to see if it can get near what i want in terms of accuracy (im just doing pvc and pdvf panels cuts)
Cesar, good luck with your build, mine served me well.
very cool! what size battery were you using on this?
I have 1x 2.0Ah and 1x 2.5Ah battery which came with my set of tools.
maybe connect a small stepper define it as Z and let it reel in the bowden tube
I needed to assemble a cnc machine If possible, what are the parts and motors required?
What matrial your using for deck panel?
It's what Voron BOM specifies, Coroplast.
I have a question about the design. Like the Y axis, it has wheels, when working with hard materials and of considerable thickness, the vibration that is generated does not reduce the precision of the Y axis?
Each machine has it's own limitations, there's a whole forum dedicated to this machine, I'd recommend to check it to find out more: forum.v1engineering.com/c/lowrider/11
Bravo! Very well done.
