The later ones actually lost too much of the Undertale vibe. I always felt the intent was 'What if Undertale's Megalovania was a straight 1-1 of the Homestuck version just in their soundfont'. Sort of like how the Homestuck version is just Dr. Andonuts Rage with a guitar added.
