Rock Climber’s Holiday Gift Guide for All Budgets!!
Damn...In my head I was like "wow crazy she sends from that crazy position she got herself in"...didn't send...but still great fight and way to go for it. Great (sandbagged) route!
❤❤❤❤
thanks this is exactly what i was looking for
Have fun with the build!
Stumbled upon this video, well done. And thank you for the ideas.
Thank you for watching it! I’m still loving my gear wall, hope it inspired you 😊
Don't know how I stumbled on this video but it's got good energy! Good editing and climbing! Cheers.
Thank you so much! Glad to hear you enjoyed it
Great idea!
Thank you! Looks great in the off season when everything is up and displayed
This is a tough route - I've climbed a number of 10d-11b's in the Red, and Oompa (granted, at the end of a hard day) really kicked my butt. It's a lot more overhung than it looks!
The features on it are so cool! I need to get back there one day to try out loompa
@@CourtneyWarren Same here - so many crags, so little time!
Cool climbs! I'm definitely going to go there and do them
Absolutely worth it!
What a beautifully filmed and edited shoot! Mad props to the both of you!
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
Courtney, what size holders did you use for the rope?
They were the 2” wide, 6” long two prong ones. They came in the pack of pegboard accessories I got off Amazon. Something like this www.amazon.ca/Pegboard-Accessories-Organizer-Assortment-Hanging/dp/B09HXMK687 pictured in the middle right side of the first photo
Nice video thanks :)
Thank you 🙏🏼
This video was wonderfully put together! How did you animate the lines of the routes towards the beginning?
Thank you! I really appreciate that ☺️ I made the route line animation in adobe after effects
@@CourtneyWarren Holy cow, thank you for such a quick response! I started uploading videos a few years ago but recently started uploading consistently. From content creator to content creator, thank you times a million <3
No problem ✌️awesome to hear you’re creating videos, wishing you the best of luck with your RUclips journey! Let’s get it!
You know half of us will listen to your advice, agree that you dont need Solutions for general indoor climbing and ignore it anyway lol.
I ignored my own advice on solutions 🙈
@@CourtneyWarren I've been climbing for around 3 months, i started off with the La Sportiva Tarantulas and bought Skwama's last weekend. I love the shoe but i dont think my feet were ready for such an aggressive shoe 😄
Couldn’t even start Voldemort! Any tips? Feet kept sliding off everything
The feed are SO slippery! I found leaning back on the side pull helped get the feet up higher with more smearing
Wasn’t sure I could use that juggy hold on lipstick lesbian. Tried to only use the pockets and gave up 😢
The pockets are not ergonomic to say the least 😅 i checked the guidebook and it didn’t mention that hold as being off so I think it’s fair game 🤷🏻♀️
Wanted to see the v2 next to AV club. Love these posts!
Happy to hear that!! Thank you 🙏🏼 Nine year old sneakers is a great boulder! Send it 💪🏼
Really like the side by side format and the commentary was great!
Thank you 🙏🏼 really appreciate the compliment and happy to hear you enjoyed the video! Cheers
Didn't watch the review, but had it in 50m and used it a ton. I had a small hickup in the beginning, where it randomly got some scuffs pretty early that were probably caused by some edges on the rock. I thought the durability was bad, but then used it intensively for another year (I would say twice a week on average) or so inside and outside. Cut the ends several times and it's now down to 30 something metres and barely long enough for the gym and my home crag. Still going strong and nice to handle. Would definitely buy again!
Pretty awesome to hear it’s been used heavily and still giving! Thanks for the input!!
Looks like some HARD work!!!
Hard work paying off! 💪🏼💪🏼
Courtney! Your shots are amazing! I love the out-of-focus close up greenery; good eye 😊. Val was crushing everything!
Thank you! Yeah I was really happy with that shot, glad you noticed! Such a great day out
Nice climb poo tips is a bit hard for the grade in my opinion not sure how y'all found it. Looks like you had tons of fun anyways great sends and camera work.
It’s an absolutely awesome boulder but yeah, it’s tough for the grade. Takes a lot of power Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed it 😊
Totally agree! Lovely climb but more physical than what someone would expect.
Nice work! I wanna check out this area!
Thanks for watching!! 💕 you should come check it out, I’d be happy to guide you around! plenty of slimy limestone footholds, the gorgeous Niagara river, and some awesome boulders (even an Alex Megos FA)
@@CourtneyWarren ya that'd be pretty cool, when s the best season to check it out
@@ThreePeakFilms I absolutely love the Fall for climbing in the Niagara Glen. It can be climbed all year (including the Winter) but the Summer can be crowded, humid, and buggy, so I usually make my trips there in the Fall and Spring
As always I enjoy your artistic perspective! Wonderfully shot and edited! I enjoyed the slant, match, tension move to the bump to heel lock on poo tips! Great content! Keep em coming!! Also.. Jay Bouldering?!!?! lol "buncha poop in there" heheheh
Thank you so much! This means a lot 🥹 Getting Jason out bouldering definitely took some convincing but he ended up having a good time!!
Damn I miss bouldering and the Glen! If you have any recommendations for boulders in the V0-V4 range, send them my way!
Nice climbing! Those do look like some classics @ the lower grades!
Thank you! It was such a great day out and everyone was happy to topout some lovely little boulders
I LOVED THIS VID!! It was was entertaining and fun and had some great climbing !
Glad you enjoyed it! I know I was sitting on this footage for a while, but I’m happy that I finally got to editing it!
It’s pretty neat seeing the side by side and the tips. Great video!
Thank you 🙏🏼 really appreciate your support
Love this!!!
Thank you 🙏🏼 it was a beautiful day out and a fun edit to put together
Great commentary Courtney!! Adds a lot of knowledge to the uninformed like myself! Loved it!!🎉
Thank you for watching! Glad to hear you enjoyed it 😊
Flashing climbs near your limit aint easy! If it was, everyone would do it ;)
Courtney, you should 100% be a IFSC announcer. That was awesome haha, beautiful analysis!
this is too kind! commentating would be a dream come true!
I love these sports commentary videos. Thanks!
My pleasure! it's fun to review the climbs and chat about them
Guess Jason is just better 🙄 Cool and informative video even if it does hurt my ego lol 😆
Not at all! Don't tell him but I honestly think you're way stronger and have some serious contact strength. These were flash attempts so beta is likely to be a bit off, especially when you're getting near your max flash grade. You kicked butt!!
that's a tall ass rock lol it just didn't stop panning up haha looks like a fun day!!
Yeah she’s definitely a highball lol! Even at V0 it was intimidating to stand under
What kind of bolts did you hammer into the frame and stand? I’m at this step in my build and I’m unsure if I should use construction screws or a hearty bolt like you got there. I just don’t know what it’s called
Hey! They’re called carriage bolts. I used them because they can hold a ton of weight and it makes it easier to lift the frame and adjust the angle of the wall. Hope this helps!
YUUUSSSSS This video is awesome Courtney, loved this one!! First of all, I LOVED your footwork and maneuvering with your leg brace in one of the first clips! You're a bad*ss. The transition from me to Val on "I'd rather be at White Bluffs" was so smooth!!! That was solid. Scene transitions were awesome, chill music and, so glad, to see your awesome face in video again! 🙏
Thank you thank you thank you! On all fronts So happy to hear you enjoyed the video, I tried to make it feel like the day did. Fun and chill
what a pretty day!! the views are absolutely beautiful! hope the knee stays healthy and happy for ya! :-)
It was such a gorgeous day to spend outside doing something you love! The knee has been good, and the injury turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Gave me the time I needed to reset and get back to a better headspace! Thank you for watching 😊
I petition to make “fingies” a technical climbing term. Lol! Love the video. What a perfect way to spend an afternoon!
Where can I sign?! thank you for watching!!
Man "Fingies" got me haha
So apparently I can see into the future... 2024?! This was from a day out at the end of Oct 2022 lol
or 2022 even
@@blistkris oh my goodnes! can you tell my brain is absolutely cooked lol
Gorgeous!!! 🤩😍 Loved the different shots and angles! Truly beautiful out there
Thank you Valerie! Hope I made an edit that captured how much fun we had out at Bottleglass that day
Thank you. I hope to do what you’re doing to raise money for animal charities.
That is awesome! Wishing you all the best with your charity work ❤️
