Vokální soubor GENTLEMEN SINGERS se sídlem v Hradci Králové byl založen v roce 2003 a během své krátké historie se zařadil k nejvýznamnějším českým hudebním uskupením známým a žádaným u nás i v zahraničí. V současné době soubor vystupuje ve složení: Filip Dámec (kontratenor), Jaroslav Šindler (kontratenor), Tomáš Kočan (tenor), Radek Mach (tenor), Ondřej Kleiner (baryton), Martin Struna (baryton), Richard Uhlíř (bas) a Václav Kovář (bas).
Vocal Ensemble GENTLEMEN SINGERS from Hradec Králové was established in 2003. It has become one of the most significant Czech music ensembles during its rather short history and it is desired not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. The ensemble is currently formed by these singers: Filip Dámec (countertenor), Jaroslav Šindler (countertenor), Tomáš Kočan (tenor), Radek Mach (tenor), Ondřej Kleiner (baritone), Martin Struna (baritone), Richard Uhlíř (bass) and Václav Kovář (bass).

Simply terrific. Great balance and general tone: so much more clarity than the other youtube version. Speaking of versions, we sang this 8 years ago with our Compline Men, AATTTBarBB, but I did an engraving up a minor 3rd which makes it much clearer and less muddy and works so much better with our countertenors without losing the soothing, personal, introspective nature of the piece. For our Jan. 5th, 2020 Compline we are chanting the same piece with a further edit: I engaged 3 angelic sopranos soaring from heaven above to sing the solo Alleluias near the end up an octave.
