A dive trip with Y-Kiki Divers was scheduled for Passport to Paradise, which starts at Murex Manado, moves to Murex Bangka, and ends at Lembeh Resort. As luck would have it, Mt Ruang just off the coast of Manado erupted the day before most people were boarding their international flights. Because of the ash in the air, the Manado airport shut down. Most cancelled but 4 of us ended up in Singapore hoping that the airport would reopen. 3 days late it did reopen and we were able to get there.
