The Valve theme actually IS half life ost, it’s a song IN THE GAME, it wasn’t the “Valve theme” until later, Idk why they called it that. This game didn’t have that iconic intro. This game just has the song play in one of the levels, and it’s called “hazardous environments,” and it’s a full song

Half of the issue is that a lot of the music is adaptive and only meant to be heard in a certain context, with its stems mixed and matched. But yeah, the ost version are pretty badly mixed a lot, pretty consistently

You know what, I've never actually even considered the Noita OST as like music by itself, just because of how well they add to the experience. I don't think to myself ''Oh wow I can't wait to get home and put on the jungle theme'' but by the GODS is the music amazing ingame, it's top tier atmosphere and mood setting. Also like the other guy mentioned, Noita music is dynamic, with the track intensifying and getting more noticeable when there's lots of activity going on in your immediate vicinity and screen. Probably my favourite sleeper soundtrack now that I think more deeply.

The backtracking you mentioned was a big part of especially older games, gen 5 was the pincaccle of the old Pokemon Formular. You unlocked new areas, new Pokemon and even new cities, legendaries, mythicals, new quests and what combat fans loved as a kid were the battle facilities, the PWT allowed you to choose a mode like "Gym Leader tournament" were you had to win against 3 random gym leader all with a competitve team in either singles, double battles or I believe even triple battles (which was exclusive to bw and bw2), you had the battle subway which besides spawning tublr sexyman, also allowed you to do a marathon of battles where you had to win 21 battles in a row or in the harder modes 51 battles. Both facilities gave you points which you could trade for TMs, rare candies, vitamins and copetitive held items. In bw2 you could also fight N once per month, and he would have a 4 different teams depending on the season. BW and BW2 are also very story heavy for a Pokemon Game and feature some post game side mission like the Looker Arc. And of course when you wanted to play competively you would want to train your Pokemon to fight in Wifi battles or real tournaments.

Disco Elysium is the greatest work of art I ever experienced and its OST went straight to my playlist. Admitedly it is mostly atmospheric OST, that suits my taste. If you are looking for something more variable and energetic I suggest ost for games from Supergigant studio, starting with Bastion and next Transistor.

The easiest way to see every song that plays in the mod is to go to the music section of the Official Calamity Wiki, there's like a total of 55. Also those interlude songs do actually play in the mod now, they were added recently, yippee!

7:29 No, but both the stage 3 abd stage 3 boss themes have album versions that ZUN made. The Stage 3 theme is in Changeability of Strange Dream, while the boss theme is in Dolls in Pseudo Paradise.

1:44:05 that's one thing I like about some of these Yakuza combat tracks, they have the usual heavy guitar riffs or synths that sound cool on their own but they like to throw in a section with a nice main melody and chords, it really makes them more memorable while playing.
