Great vid Barry!!
@@Mykkus Thanks Mike!
The Buffalo Trace products all share similar characteristics on the nose and palette. I like them, but the similarities are there. Similarly, MGP does the same. So when I know it’s MGP I know I’ll like it to some degree, but it loses something for me in wanting to try something original and different.
Fun fact: The bottle of Seagrams 7 Crown featured in this video is from 1988 and is still sealed
Nice recs!
I’m gonna look for this for my boss who is Indian and loves single malt Scotch. Thanks
@@billsedutto8824 My friend got this in a Costco in NJ
Red wing Iron Rangers
Could always try the George T Stagg. 😂
@@jakeizlove Your boss would LOVE that!
@ I don’t care enough about my boss’ feelings to part with a bottle of GTS. Not even sure if we’re on the Old Tub level. 😂
@ 🤣
I was excited to see someone agreed with me on the Lost Recipe for a wonderful bourbon,, Cheers and Happy New Year to you,,,,,,,,,,,,✌✌✌✌
@@chefmac Yes Chef! 👍
Love it!
Excellent video!! I see how this long form video works well here!!
@@jeffofalltrades3567 Right. Keep it short and punchy for TT and IG
Nice video
What did ya pay for your eagle rare 17 year if ya don’t mind me askin just got one myself
Excellent Christmas story......love it.
Stagg (Jr) 22A is my favorite of the ones I have, which are batches 15-24B. Most of which I have got for $60. Most I have paid is $125. I won a slot in the BTAC lottery at Binny’s in IL and got George T Stagg 2024 for $170 2 weeks ago. Merry Christmas. 🥃
I paid $52 for Evan Williams Single Barrel when only available in KY. I bought a few bottles of it at a liquor store in IL this year for $37 each. Love the Old Pepper decanter bottle. I have 2 backup bottles of it. That Bardstown Origin high wheat is fantastic for $50. I could not find the MM Lost Recipe at any Costco, but a friend gifted me a bottle. Have not tried the Old Emmer. A few new favorites of mine under $100 are Smokeye Hill Barrel Proof and Boulder Spirits Cask Strength. 🥃
I picked up a bottle of Old Rip 10 Year for $108 at Woodman’s in Rockford, IL on October 5. Good stuff. 🥃
@@DaveVogelsang-b8v Great price
Appreciate the insight on some difficult to obtain sips
@@marcromero1014 My pleasure! More to come.
Where's your degree from? 😂
@@whyowhyo1 Take your pick. Binghamton University, University of Pennsylvania, Boston University 🤣🤣🤣
Nicely done.
Appreciate it!
Great vid. Appreciated the 107 comparison too.
@@Mykkus thanks friend!
The Evan Williams and the James e pepper absolutely suck, the Bardstown wheat is amazing
Agree with the Old Emmer...it's delicious
@@whyowhyo1 Great minds think alike!
Full proof green river is one of the top 5 bourbons of the year
What year GTS was this? I got to try the 2024 release at a bar and god damn it’s been living rent free in my head ever since. 10/10 best bourbon I have ever had… really making me consider the absurd secondary cost
@@Simplycoburn 2023 GTS
Grabbed some this year but haven’t tried it yet. I didn’t enjoy the 2023, but it seems the bottle needed longer to open up.
After batch 17 .. 22A is the best batch!
Sir , your videos quality is good but your video is not optimize properly . so you can not get enough views. if you want ,i can help you .
I really liked the bourbon when I first opened the bottle. When I went back to it a week or two later, it seemed to change and I wasn't as big a fan. Curious if you go back to it and get the same experience.
This may just be my favorite of the year. I had to go back and get more.
Buffalo Trace was my gateway bourbon but hard to find sometimes. Redwood Empire Pipe Dream is a great bourbon for beginners and is what converted my wife.
Great options
I know I'm late to the game, but I just bought my first bottle of this today. You haven't led me wrong yet. Our palates seem similar. 100% agree with you on the MM Lost Recipe. My favorite bottle this year.
Hope you enjoy it!
Hope you enjoy it
Thank you for talking secondary street prices. The industry fudds that only talk MSRP frustrate me LOL
@@WoodrowWoods2007 You’re welcome!
I’m a beginner and love woodford reserve
Give Woodford double oak a try next
Beat me to it!!! Love it
@BourbonBarry that's my next purchase. Haven't tried it yet
@@kevinpratt418let me know what you think!

No cherry on the palate?
@@whyowhyo1 You’ll have to taste it for yourself 🥃
Red wind is the only boot I will wear, and they do pair gear with jeans
Sadly, I didn’t get the 10 year. I did get the 11 year. If you’re interested: Is Old Overholt 11 Year a SPECIAL Rye Whiskey? ruclips.net/video/KWfpfH3N7vw/видео.html
If I could only pick 2 bottles from my shelf they’d easily be Rare Breed and Makers Mark Cask Strength. Both great values and I can actually find them in PA where liquor stores are state run.
@@billsedutto8824 Two super solid choices.
😂
Sounds yummy!
Old emmer does not beat weller… went into total wine for a tasting today… it’s ok… just tastes like a young wheated cask strength whiskey…
If you're up to it, do a blind side by side tasting and let me know what you find
Well done, BB! Fascinating piece of history!
Thanks friend ❤️
Got a bottle off a recommendation from a total wine worker. And I agree it she real deal
Some people just can't believe it!
I bought Old Emmer on the salesman's recommendation, knowing little about wheated bourbons. Compared to some much more expensive bottles on my shelf, it blew them away. This one will stick around in my cabinet.
I completely agree!
I just drank a sample of this and was blown away by it..went searching for reviews. I agree with your assessment you’d never guess this was such high proof.
You're not the only one. It's pretty amazing!
anytime you do a beam review next to a beam employee then it's probably going south
Looks amazing!
You should go
This is a great blind! I haven't had Old Emmer but I think Weller and Blanton's are so overrated and over priced! I really believe price doesn't make a better whiskey!! I'm definitely going to buy Old Emmer and it's marketed at a great price! Thanks and cheers 🥃 bourbon brother!;
I'm in agreement. Thanks for the positive comments!
Any way you could tell us what to drink and hook in with a shipper and we could just buy it shipped to our house? My guess is I won’t see this bottle for a year or two….
Mike this is being rolled out nationwide. What state are you in?
@@BourbonBarry CO - I’ll keep my eyes out for it! Looks great!
Mike, the Beam rep told me it will be available in Co. this month depending on when the state files for pricing on it.
Excellent recap, BB! So much info in 3min!
Thank you my friend!
Nice vid, BB! Love Power's 3 Swallow. Really want to try the John's Lane! Cheers!
Three swallows to finish off the glass! 🤣
Good stuff, BrbnB, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
