Blah blah blah idk what to write here. I do nothing but post crappy memes and upload some of my Touhou replays. As of recent I also started doing some covers in Furnace, with hopes to improve.

First Skirmish ~ OPEN THE SHARD 16 bit PC98-86 Cover (Kuro no Kiseki 1)
(mostly based on Open the Shard though)
Yeah soooo.... fun fact. This was supposed to be finished and released LITERAL AGES AGO to commemorate the international release of Kuro 1 as Trails Through Daybreak (what a lame title name, Trails Before Dawn sounds way cooler), but I just kept delaying it due to studies and laziness.
This is also technically my first ever practice at transcribing a song by ear. I chose this because I thought the existence of a more lax First Skirmish would have made it easier to transcribe... yeah good joke. (If anything, all the muddied out parts of First Skirmish are even harder to figure out than the more straightforward Shard).

More Final Doom! The penultimate level theme. Very climactic despite how short it is. I like it alot. Very happy with the way I made the choirs sound at 0:42 onwards, mixing the male and female choir patches together, to make it sound closer to how it does in Arachno font. funny, I really like the section you put in the meme itself. Castlevania as a series has such an awesome collection of music that the bar is really high for any entry.... and yeah, these are not the best. But they're still really good. There is dissonance though. It's in the box.

AHAHAH! I agree. I don't think the compositions in this game are as catchy as they could be but they DO have a ... "unique?" Gothic charm. That intro piece with the leaf dropping in the water when you first boot the game still gives me the gamer chills! The same composers (Michiru Yamane and Soshiro Hokkai) did Aria of Sorrow's music as well with the addition of Takashi Yoshida.

In the Nintendo demake, it's played in the ending credits. I wonder why it's unused here.
This version has a certain melancholy to it that the music room version just doesn't have. It better captures the feeling of fighting against a being like this, who literally has orbs containing other screens from the game in the background.
