'Explore Your City' is a RUclips channel that showcases the local surroundings of Vancouver, BC, Canada, and beyond to others. It's about travel & tourism, local interests, food & shopping, natural environment and more. But more importantly (to me) is that it's an opportunity to spend time with my daughter and let her explore and experience her own city. Enjoy the videos and the music in each episode!

I LOVE your city so much and I wanted to visit Vancouver again!! What are some of the best places to visit in Vancouver as a local??
Thanks! As a local, we enjoy places like Granville Island, Commercial Drive, West 4th Avenue, UBC, Steveston in Richmond, all the hiking trails in North Vancouver, including Deep Cove. Weekend trips to Victoria, Whistler, Sunshine Coast, or even cross the border to Bellingham and Seattle. Sometimes I think we take it for granted by just being lazy and staying at home :p
I was at Victoria and Vancouver back in May. Vancouver and Victoria and overall British Columbia is my favorite place of Canada!!
I live in Vancouver and am lucky to take a side trip to Victoria at least once a year 😁

Are they parking nearby?
Hello. Yes the park has paid parking. There is some free street parking, but spaces are limited as most are for local residents with permits. We actually paid parked at the Planetarium/Museum of Vancouver located at 1100 Chestnut St, Vancouver (EasyPark Lot 60). From there a short scenic walk to Kitsilano Beach. Enjoy~

This used to be my favorite museum, until they ruined everything.they are changing displays. They removed hats from a store and replaced them with turbans?! In 1920 there was not a single store selling turbans. They are changing buildings through the years. Yesterday on Victoria Day they brought Punjabi dancers. They are turning the museum into Punjabi museum. Nothing interesting there for me anyway.
We go there about once a year, but didn't notice any changes on our visit. Still enjoyed it though as it's like a living museum. Watching the blacksmith do his work was really nice, as well as meeting those playing the shop keepers. Cheers~

disney really needs to buy it and convert it into a downtown disney east. place is barely holding on. Look how dead it is and it's literally A CROSSWALK from disneyland.
We were there between 6-7pm on a weekday, so I just thought it was down time. Not sure how the crowds are during the weekends. But yes, very close to Disneyland.
