Hey i Just bought these and there's not alot of info on how to change the telemetry on each gauge so its different data. As of now i have water temp displayed across all 3 gauges and unsure how to change it. They seems to be linked data together.
@@canonfilms298 I’ll make a video on how to set them up when I have time. Soon.
Thanks for the video. Love the inspirational words at the end too!
Помогите с настройкой этих приборов
Okay. I will try to make another vid about setting it up later. But the English manual that came with the kit explained it pretty well. I will see if I can find that manual. Just moved, still unpacking lol.
So far did not use a lens hood on my V, now VI. Never missed it. Lens protected by filter, either Glimmerglass 1 or Hoya protection filter.
Great review buddy. I'd be interested to if you do a follow up in the future on the shadow being casted from the internal flash. You would think with the JJC copy of the oem design that it wouldn't have this issue but it is clearly more visible than the square hood in the ovf.
honestly these look amazing, even more when you see the 3 pack costs less than the price of 1 aem gauge, for sure the aem and such are the real deal but the prices are way too crazy imho. whats the default color when starting the car tho ?
Yeah the cost makes a big difference. I’ll see how long they last. This year is the second season.
@@Solo_Cheku Hey, can you confirm it's 1/8 BSPT female to 1/8 NPT male you had to use ? So i guess 2 x for 2 sensors on the sandwich plate ? 🙏
@@2Drezik I ordered three sensors: two temperature sensors (one for oil, one for water) and one pressure sensor (for oil). The two temperature sensors were fine since they had 1/8 BSPT threads; they went into the radiator and oil sandwich plate directly. The pressure sensor was 1/8 NPT and the issues I needed to solve were: 1. NPT male on the sensor to BSPT female on the oil sandwich plate. 2. There wasn't enough space between the oil sandwich plate and the alternator for the sensor (with the straight adaptor it was way too long) to be installed. So in the end I just used a 90 degrees NPT to BSPT adaptor. To illustrate: Original Orientation: Alternator Old Small sensor -----> Oil Plate So, I used a 90 degrees elbow fitting to change the orientation of the sensor: Alternator 90 elbow NPT to BSPT Adaptor-------| Oil plate | S e n s o r This gave me enough room to install the new, bigger pressure sensor. To sum up. 1. Use a calliper to find out the thread type. These sensors are generic, so they might differ when you order them. 2. Use the necessary adaptor to connect the sensors to the ports correctly. 3. Use angled fitting (adaptor) to change orientation in case of limited space for the bigger modern sensors on old engines or engine bays.
There is blue, yellow, red, purple, green, pink and white? I can't remember. But yeah, many color to choose from.
what a nice channel Cheku. From what i've researched , Dinitrol is the top product for undercarriage protection, stuff is used in aviation too. You could find a cheaper brand tho because prices went up with the succes. The undercarriage has to be cleaned properly of oils etc. it can last 3 to 6 years, depending on conditions. Application is not the easiest but best protection. Alternative is Seilfett grease, it's easier to apply as a diy with a spray can or compressor with gun, this one is every season or 2 y maximum. Dinitrol is thicker and harder to apply but the best. As rust converter i use Presto rust converter and Wurth. Presto also for gravel protection at the wheels. I also use a ultrasound cleaner, it's very good for smal bits, screws and stuff but also bigger parts, calipers, throtttle bodies ans such
Wow. Good info. Thanks for watching my old vid. lol. I’ll get on it this summer. Appreciate it my man.
Can you send me link to this item
There is no need for a lens cap, adding one to a filter is even more unnecessary.
A round lens hood tends to make a shadow in images using the built in flash. Square lens hood is better.
How do you set the gauges to show different gauges in daisy chain. All mine show the same, like Water temp on all three. But I want what you have water temp, oil temp, oil pressure. When I go to set and then press the down & up it controls all three at same time. Any help I would love :) You figured it out it seems!
You need to connect one to the first port at a time. Set it up with controller. Then unplug, do the next one. Once you set up all the gauges one by one then daisy chain them. Instruction shows how.
How to control the colors and all if you just get an afr gauge
Use the control unit to set colours and display type. The AFR has to be connected to the control unit, so from the AFR sensor to the control unit, then to the gauge. The gauges are multipurpose, and you can set what they display through the control unit. If you have OBD2, the control unit can be connected to the OBD2 port and grabs data from your ecu and sensors.
@@Solo_Cheku so if you buy multiple can you connect to OBDII and not install new sensors under the hood? Looking to put some into 2020 civic SI.
@@nickguerrero7787 yes. No sensor needed if you connect to obd2 is what I was told. It reads off the stock sensors directly. The control unit has an obd2 port.
both are nice 👍
🔥🔥
nice
any thought's about the gap with the haoge?
You mean the gap between the hood and the OEM lens cap? Yeah. That’s an issue with haoge.
SUGGESTION: To square and adjust the square lens hood into your ring - please - cut a small rectangular piece of black Vinyl electrical tape (2~3 mm wide x 8~10 mm long) and add it perpendicular or longitudinal to the edge of the lens hood on the thread side. Then, thread the hood into your adapter ring. This little hack lets you easily adjust the hood tight to the ring adapter. And no more adjustments will be needed to make it square and in place. By the way, I have all of these square hoods, they work fine., and I love them all.
That’s some nice tips for sure. Thanks!
Flash test?
haoge is better
very informative, thanks
Both would look better in the right colour so hard to compare tbh…
cool
👍👍
Haoge is best quality
My choice was the Haoge one and for one specific reason. Other hoods obstruct the field of view of the optical viewfinder. This one should not. I have the hood, but haven’t gotten my X100VI yet so I haven’t tested it myself, but I saw a comparison between the X100V hoods in the past.
Good point. It is less obstructive comparing with the other one.
Promo`SM 😉
With the adapter on and the JJc Hood removed can you pit the original cap back on?
I tried in my last video and no it doesn’t stay on. Sadly.
Nisi UV filter for x100vi get it you’ll love it
This video popped up on recommendations, and i love it! The way you go through working on your car is amazing. Love the build too.
Have you tried without using 1/4 filter? I feel in my experience with the filter it can make the AF not as good
That is actually a good advice. It probably helps with the hunting auto focus. Thanks!
The verdict is: it is not for video unless you have a gimbal (defeats the purpose of having a small body) or hands that are stable like a gimbal; the IBIS doesn't seem to help too much in video applications. It is most useful for slow shutter speed photography. Still, it is a good-looking, pocketable point-and-shoot that is better than your cell phone camera. But it pretty much ends there...
very good video, brings joy for car people. I had one of this but I lost the handbook of it,having problem to set it up.if you can sent me a pic of the hankbook that will be a great help.😊 thanks
The manual for the gauges? I’ll find it later and post it somewhere.
Can you please do a video on the best cine bloom filter lens for this camera?
This video is an add for accessoires.
Nice video brother ❤
Looks great! Love how you filmed and put this together. Enjoy the new camera! 🙌
Why guys used lenscaps? 🤨
You should get the haoge lens/hood and swap the uv filter it comes with with the tiffen one you have. The lens cap fit, and it’s the shallowest and prettiest way the have a protected filter on
I ordered it yesterday. Good to know it’s slim. Will try it out for sure. Thanks for the info!
@@Solo_Cheku The ring holding the filter glass in the haoge is easy to remove. It’s another story for the tiffen filter. I had to borrow a tool from a camera shop and did it myself there. The owner of the shop tried but wasn’t comfortable applying more strength. I did and it finally got loose.
@@jonathanhaillot9832 I had that issue with other cameras and filters before. Never screwed them tight again. Lesson learned. lol.
this video is perfect for fuji x100 shooters, they prefer to play barbie with their camera rather than create photos! Well done!
You got the joke!
You def need that rubber or youll accidentally lose that button lol
lol. I’ll keep the rubber on then. Haha.
You need a lenshood
I think I will get one. Which brand should I get? Square or circular? Thanks.
@@Solo_Cheku get the Fuji rectangular one, it’s a bayonet fit, and should be effective without causing vignetting.
Check out the Haoge, just bought the same for my X100VI and it is excellent.
@@KobaJKL Yep, Haoge make good knock-offs.
@@KobaJKL just ordered it with the bayonet version. Will try them out. Thanks!
Dunno about any of this. The idea was that this was a pocketable camera and now that lens cannot really fit in any pocket
I had the exact same thought last night as I stared at it. LOL. But filters are needed for video, less so for stills.
believe the rubber ring is used to add some friction against the camera shutter button to help prevent the shutter release knob from unscrewing unintentionally.
ahh makes sense. Thanks!
Yes, it helps to prevent the soft realese button unscrew by itself. I've lost one button bcos of not using rubber ring.
I subscrbed
Thanks brother.
Quick update on the magnetic lens filter: the magnit triggers the camera's conversion lens detection and makes the camera think there is a teleconverter on, which leads to auto focus hunting or fail. So I went back to Tiffen filter with lens cap.
dang about the magnetic lens filter. thanks for that tip!
Congrats on the new camera. Still awaiting my pre-order to come through (I’m also in the GTA). That rubber o-ring on the shutter button is to help prevent it from coming loose :)
Thanks for the info! Heard the first two batches were sold out in a few hours. Hope you get yours soon!
@@Solo_Cheku My dealer expects to be able to fill mine by end of month. 🤞🏼
@@craig_cunha bet you already bought the accessories. lol. I’m waiting on the Smallrig’s L bracket and cage to try out. They seem like the only brand that is planning on launching those att.
@@Solo_Cheku lol yeah, got a Nisi filter cover and some shutter buttons. Not sure I’m going to go for the thumb grip. A hood is an option, but I want to keep the profile as small as possible.
@@craig_cunha so true. the hood and/or filter stacks up fast.
Great video once again, love the cinematography and relaxing narration!
Thanks!
Hi did you only change the catback? Is the rest of the exhaust stock?
Both are catback systems, the cat and headers are stock.
Did you get motion sickness? I couldnt get through the boot camp... :(
Surprisingly, no. I turned off motion blur in graphics and wore blue light glasses (not sure if it helped). I initially felt a hint of motion sickness but got better after a while.
