I feel like a lot of the comments overlook the fact that John is the only guitarist. There’s not 2 playing so it’s going to sound more basic John has to pick between rhythm and lead. It’s not going to sound like Metallica because there’s the only guitar.

While I'm not a fan of them, I respect Dream Theater and they are an incredibly talented band, but something about this performance just feels lifeless. Compare this to Master Of Puppets live in Seattle 89 and the energy is off the charts.
