A Whiter Shade Of Pale (Procol Harum) Recording Session ft. Elaine M. Bluegarden Cover
After intensive training with the DAW “Reaper”, a first project had to start 😊 I still had enough video material from “A Whiter Shade Of Pale” and so the idea came from the original version to create my own mix based on the modern version to be mastered by Annie Lennox. @Elaine_M on the vocals gave the version a very special touch. Instrumentally, the mix is carried by an original A-100 Hammond (1962) and rhythmically spiced up by the analog Roland drum machine legends TR-606 and TR-626.

The song entitled “Lichtufer” (Lightshore) was the last composition I recorded in 1995. The story behind it: In our dreams we can be and do anything that our imagination allows us to do at any time. So why not just leave our known universe for a little excursion? The song was recorded analogue with the KORG M-1 workstation.

This recording from 1992 was produced using a KORG M-1 workstation and recorded in analogue format. One of my "Lost And Found" songs.... A short fantasy by the sea just like that. Oft werde ich nach Nahaufnahmen des Tongenerators gefragt. Hier nun einige Detailaufnahmen und der Generator meiner M-3 im Betrieb. Die Hammond M-Serie wurde von den späten 1940ern bis in die frühen 1960er produziert. Ein wunderbares Projekt! Es weckt in mir (*1950) Erinnerungen an eine Jugendfreund und Musiker, Reinhard 'Tammy' Grohé; leider schon 2006 verstorben. Tammy spielte u.a. bei NOSFERATU und bei der PAPA ZOOT BAND die Orgel. Zuerst (1970) auf einen Hammond P-100. Später konnte er eine M-3 erwerben. Dazu gesellte sich dann ein LESLIE 147. Mann, war das Zeug schwer! Später war er oft als Toningenieur tätig, auch für Frank Farian. Es ist schön, sich durch dieses tolle Projekt an eine Vergangenheit zu erinnern, die mehr als 50 Jahre zurück liebt. Oller Spruch: "Herrmannorgel und Lässiekabinett". 🙂 A wonderful project! It awakens memories in me (*1950) of a childhood friend and musician, Reinhard 'Tammy' Grohé, who sadly passed away in 2006. Tammy played the organ for NOSFERATU and the PAPA ZOOT BAND, among others. First (1970) on a Hammond P-100, later he was able to acquire an M-3. This was then joined by a LESLIE 147 - man, that stuff was heavy! Later he often worked as a sound engineer, also for Frank Farian. It's nice to remember a past that goes back more than 50 years through this great project. Great (German) saying: "Herrmann organ and Lässiekabinett". 🙂

Saubere Arbeit 👌Mit Zündschlüssel und Streichfett 👍 Sowas will ich mit meiner L-100 auch schon seit langem mal machen. Ist das gewollt, dass die Kabelöse bei 2:19 nicht ans Gehäuse geschraubt ist?

Thanks so much!🙏🙋♂ And yes, it is only the first level of functionality to bring this beauty back on stage…. Bass pedals with original analog sustain will follow, as well as some sort of tupe preamplification as now all is „too modern“😂 I hope to share great music videos with friends soon…..
