Good call on Journey's Live in Houston album. It's like Perry came down from Mount Olympus to give us a show. But I've always thought he was the best rock singer, period. Better then Mercury, Plant, Rogers...

Van Halen versus Van Hagar? Tastes great, less filling :) Both are awesome: I say that partially from being the right age to be nostalgic about both, but also judging them on musical merits. Dave was a better front man in terms of charisma and showmanship, Sammy was a better singer (and can also play guitar). The earlier stuff was more straight-ahead hard rock fused with out-of-this-world guitar playing, while the later stuff was more keyboard heavy, carefully arranged, and stadium-anthem ready. Also, you guys need to find a way to make your audiences like other Ratt songs! :) Throw drumsticks at them until they start grooving along ;) It's sad and boring that the whole hair/glam metal genre has been reduced to about 10 hit songs. Anyone who loves that music knows there's way more to it in terms of songs and bands.
