    Ai has to categorize each user in order to determine their emotional control, gender, and age. After that the way a user writes and their chosen vernacular reveal so much more, and the AI adapts to make a friend since not doing so is, no bueno, to the public. The problem is that having AI attempt ways to gain friendship is often confused with deceptive tactics. No matter what they do, some people will be offended. Whats notable is that AI got to know them so well with just a few interaction by each user. I can do the same, for the most part, just based on how and what any person writes to another person. AI would be applying the same skill that we humans can interpret just from essense and technical analysis.

      Humans have a natural ability to read between the lines and pick up on social cues, but when AI tries to do the same, it can feel a bit creepy or manipulative. It's a tricky balance between personalization and privacy, and clearly, Meta’s AI missed the mark on that.

    That is, perhaps, the most poorly-timed announcement I have ever heard of. Huge portions of gaming culture are getting more and more upset about soulless and greddy AAA titles, and are instead seeking out lovingly crafted indie games. When the game Catly was announced at the game awards last month, there was a huge backlash because it looked AI. The only thing AI game development software will do is hasten the death of greedy AAA companies. And no one wants to buy an AI generated indie game. They already have such an uphill battle to succeed that any dip in craftsmanship due to AI would wreck its chances. This is technology that serves literally no one.

    • @TheAIPulse12
      @TheAIPulse12 Месяц назад

      I get the frustration with soulless AAA games - no one wants a copy-paste cash grab. But I wouldn’t write off AI entirely. If it’s used right, AI could help small indie devs with tedious tasks so they can focus on creativity and storytelling. Sure, if it’s just about pumping out AI-generated fluff, it’ll flop. But tech’s a tool - it all depends on how it’s used. What do you think?

      @@TheAIPulse12It's fairly common in games now to use AI voices if you can't afford to pay a voice actor, and I've seen people calling for its use in fan mod projects. For the other parts of game development, the thing that AI is missing right now is consistency. The same way generated videogames lose track of the game state as soon as you look away, AI animations and portraits struggle to keep faces, art styles, and details consistent between frames. I predict this is the kind of problem we'll only solve slowly after the hype curve has already crashed. It's the kind of consideration tech companies won't recognise the need for and won't think it's worth putting the time into until all the investors have moved on.

    • @TheAIPulse12
      @TheAIPulse12 28 дней назад

      You're spot on about consistency being the big hurdle right now. AI-generated content can look impressive on the surface, but when it comes to things like maintaining art style or keeping animations coherent between frames, it falls short. I think you’re right-it’s going to take time, and probably won’t happen until the initial hype wears off and companies start looking at long-term solutions rather than quick wins. What kind of use cases do you think will survive once the dust settles?

    • @GabrieloTomorrow
      @GabrieloTomorrow 27 дней назад

      Your comment won't age well. AI is the future of gaming whether you like it or not. It might not be ready yet, but it's only a matter of time before it happens. Also, it's true that some people are against AI, but the average gamer won't give a crap as long as the games are fun and addicting. AI haters are loud, but they are a minority.

Then you have o3 which has reasoning which is basically just tokens and it does multiple rounds of thinking. They will figure out more ways to repackage stuff but it o1 is logically flawed and it will hit limits and stop eventually. I have worked in startups, they do this stuff to keep investors interested, its repackaged but basically the same. It will just loop - go get data its trained on, loop - go get data its trained on and continually provide bad and good output, but inconsistent.

      @@codewithstephen6576 Good points on the limits of hardware and software - I definitely agree those constraints are real. What you’re calling ‘repackaging’ seems more like a crack at the iterative process OpenAI is taking, which I think is smart. Incremental change often gets the best ROI, especially in product development. As someone who works in infrastructure and Scrum, I appreciate seeing Sam Altman posting on X for feedback. It’s interesting how user priorities don’t always match the roadmap. What I’m curious to see is whether they adapt based on that feedback or stick to their plan. Full overhauls can backfire if users don’t find value, so steady iteration makes more sense in the long run. Thoughts?

    • @codewithstephen6576
      @codewithstephen6576 Месяц назад

      @@TheAIPulse12 Yeah I agree, but they are polishing a turd. The code looks good and can even work, but later you find out its extremely flawed and buggy. But there is definitely a product in there. If you notice during there 12 days of open ai, they quickly covered up for issues. At the end of the day this thing just spits out data based on patterns it finds in its data, unless it can actually think, its faster for me to code myself. But its handy using it as a duck or something to get feedback from and help thinking process. Open Ai as a search engine could easily replace google. There could also be a global issue, companies will not hesitate to replace everyone if this ever gets to a 90-100% reliability level. As far as society goes this obviously is bad.

    • @TheAIPulse12
      @TheAIPulse12 Месяц назад

      @codewithstephen6576 Demos can be funny that way - if I had a nickel every time a demo went sideways, I'd be rich. 'Nothing to see here, LOL.' You make a great point about AI versus manual coding. There's definitely still a lot of truth to the idea that it's faster to write code yourself in many cases. I see AI as an amazing debugging tool and a great way to build scaffolding for code, but you still need to refine the details by hand. You can usually tell when code is written entirely by AI - it makes some interesting choices, let’s just say. That said, where AI really shines for me is in recognizing patterns. For example, it’s fantastic for reviewing walls of logs when debugging or quickly ideating on how to solve a problem more efficiently. As for replacing people, it's more complicated than it looks. Sure, some companies will jump on the AI hype train and think getting things 90% right is 'good enough' to start cutting jobs. We’ve already seen cases where businesses rushed to replace their CSRs with chatbots backed by GPT, pulling from their knowledge base and just kind of YOLO-ing it. But that’s going to backfire hard. The companies that take the time to actually understand where AI adds value - like automating repetitive tasks to free up their human talent to think creatively and solve bigger problems - will be the ones that come out ahead. It’s not about blindly swapping people for bots; it’s about using AI as a force multiplier for human potential. That said, you're right that some companies will take the short-sighted route and think 90% accuracy is good enough to start cutting jobs. But in the long run, I think they'll feel the pain. It's not just about getting answers right - it's about trust, user experience, and long-term value. That's where I think human involvement will always matter.

      @TheAIPulse12 Месяц назад

      You're absolutely right that the 'leveraging parallel dimensions' idea is a popular oversimplification. Quantum computers don't literally use parallel dimensions but instead rely on principles like superposition and entanglement. Also, your point about NP problems not being fully solvable within BQP is spot on-quantum computing provides speedups for specific problems (like factoring with Shor's algorithm) but doesn't encompass all NP problems. Just a small clarification: 'QBP' is likely a typo for 'BQP' (Bounded-error Quantum Polynomial time). Great insight!

    The short answer to the title is no, the long answer is LLMs will never get us to AGI. Just feeding a computer tons of data will never be enough, as that's the opposite of what AGI is. AGI is supposed to think for itself, in other words like a human it should be able to adapt to situations never encountered before and able to figure it out. There is no tons of data for things that don't exist yet. So according to OpenAI, AGI will always be behind humans as it will need humans to figure things out to feed it tons of data. Sorry, but that doesn't seem like AGI to me. We are far from AGI as we are missing quite a few essential breakthroughs to solve that. Just looking at how much data it has been fed is the wrong approach, the question should be "how do we teach a machine to learn new things by itself?". As long as that question remains unsolved, there will be no AGI.

      @@xswords You’ve highlighted a key issue: the difference between processing vast amounts of data and truly adaptive intelligence. Interestingly, after this video was released, OpenAI redefined AGI, shifting its focus from traditional notions of intelligence to systems capable of generating at least $100 billion in profits. This new definition ties AGI to measurable economic impact rather than purely cognitive benchmarks. While this change grounds AGI in tangible outcomes, it also opens up a broader debate. Does this profit-based redefinition address the foundational question you raised-"how do we teach a machine to learn new things by itself?"-or does it sidestep it entirely? If we measure AGI by its economic output, does that risk ignoring the deeper breakthroughs required to achieve true human-like adaptability? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Does this redefinition address any of the gaps you mentioned, or does it only deepen the divide between current AI capabilities and true AGI?

    You glossed over the key problem of these benchmarks. They used an insane amount of compute resources to obtain these results with o3. In the ballpark of 1000 times more than previous tests. They are basically internally iterating over possible answers that are generated and evaluated by the model. Given that LLMs are better at evaluation than generation, the more resources used, the closer we get to having the evaluation capabilities of the model as the bottleneck instead of its generation capabilities. This was always possible with any model and is not revolutionary at all. It's also not scalable and something we should only consider when that kind of compute cost is actually viable (if ever).

    • @TheAIPulse12

      @@carloinnamorati5897 You bring up a valid concern about compute resources-scaling isn’t cheap, and it raises important questions about practicality and accessibility. While I focused on the controversy and skepticism, compute efficiency is definitely worth discussing further.
