I love to make "thematic" teams, especially when I can use together more units of the same Pokemon (like the triple Gengar run I made on Halloween).
And that is what this is 😁 Triple Charizard, 3000 points!
ShinyZard 5/5 5⭐️
RedZard 3/5 6🌟
LeonZard 1/5 6🌟

Dragon Quest XI: The Ending Explained (& Why Act 3 is Amazing)
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.3 года назад
This video started as a reply to "why act 3 of dragon quest xi is terrible" by Morrie Mozzarella (link: ruclips.net/video/fXZaB1TX5QQ/видео.html ) but it kinda became its own thing in the end, I hope you appreciate it and I hope I was able to clear any doubt about DQ XI's beautiful story. I know it's long: take a seat, grab some pop corns or have a pizza, and enjoy.

I know you are unlikely to see this comment, but: thanks for this great explanation and interpretation. I loved it. You’re right, this interpretation is tragic and sad, and maybe even frustrating, in the sense that it feels all we did was pointless since it all ended up not existing at all. But, at the same time, it also feels very heroic, selfless, noble, and inspiring, at least to me. Contributing towards the greater good, even though it involves disappearing in time/history and becoming just a “fairy tale”, feels very epic and awesome. It reminds me of the ending of Batman Begins movie. Gordon says to Batman that he never thanked him for the good he did for the city. Batman’s reply was: “And you’ll never have to.” That attitude, to me, is very heroic. Doing good even though one will not get any thanks and love for it.
Are you ever going to return brother? You made really good Dragon quest videos. With bigger budget, you could blow up. You have an polite but frank tone I think it would do well
I never wanted to be a youtuber, to be honest. It's not a "I want to do this" thing of mine. I do things when I feel like it, AND I don't care about having a consistent "theme"/topic for the channel (which is the reason I made a 2-hour long video about DQ and 3-minutes challenge runs on Pokémon Masters EX lol). Thank you for your kind words but you're probably never see me consistently active lol I just want to have my normal life and play videogames and stuff.
For some reason I can't take the original video seriously simply because of the AI-voice. It feels kinda trollish, I can't help it. Like looking for reasons to bash the game. But I really like your efforts to defend the story, which was so amazing in my opinion. Timetravel is always a hot take in any video game because it's usually the easiest way to get twists going, but they end up failing quite often. However, it felt like in this game it's a very different thing. The decision to basically erase the present is not to be taken lightly, and I thought the game emphasizes that heavily. In my first playthrough it even made me stop playing for a while because I had to think about the possible consequences, and if I really wanted to go through that.
Thanks, make sense now
Moyun + Guzheng = Miraculous... Out of this planet ...
I LOVE THIS
Really cool concept! To me it sounds like I'm listening to playing god in a big cave and water drops are matching the notes lol
Playing God and Goddess!! Harmonic Perfection. GOAT REALM BOUND!!
Amazing video, clarified a bunch of stuff for me.
Not trying to take anything away, but her instrument has how many strings?, compared to his guitar having only 6,its just different when ur playing a guitar and hitting all those notes ,then playing an instrument with more strings, only because its easier hitting more notes so fast using more strings
The Gushing has a lot more notes (and hers is specially modified to double in pitch, which is why it has two sides, 21 on the side she actually uses 90% of the time), but it doesn't have notes the same way that western instruments do. The Chinese scale only has 5 notes (CDEGA) and no B or F (or any sharps or flats for that matter depending on the key you are in). While it is easier for her to move between notes, she's not actually able to play the 12 notes you would find in a more western instrument normally. This is why you always see her left hand moving to the side in order to press on fretless areas of the Guzheng to change the notes. So although she has more strings, she doesn't have the same scale as a guitar and also has to press fretless. And she also arranged it for such a different instrument which is also really cool. This is what makes the fact that she did it on Guzheng impressive. (other than the fact that it just looks really cool and has perfect and clean execution) I do think it's really hard on the guitar though because you are only picking with one hand while the other presses, although what she is doing is a lot harder than you think. I think you are right and on an instrument like the piano it would be a lot easier to play this melody.
I understand your argument, but by this logic, an 8-string is easier to play, which is untrue. It also means that the guitar is much harder to play than the cello or violin, which is also arguably untrue. I think that without understanding the Guzheng as an instrument, I can't really say how hard it is to play, but I can tell you to play as many notes as Tim Henson plays on any instrument is impressive, especially one with a reduced scale.
You are quite literally taking away from her performance lol. It's the whole point of your comment, one could argue. It's not about which instrument is harder to play- although it'd be hard to determine having only played a small amount of guitar and quite a lot of piano, and NO guzheng- it's more on the point brought up by a previous commenter about the differences in scales between the guitar and the guzheng. She had to have a custom guzheng crafted for this performance to be able to BEGIN to transcribe Tim's piece to the instrument. At the end of the day, it is stated as a COVER by the Moyun- but the work and effort that went in to creating this was no doubt IMMENSE. Her musical comprehension is out of this world, and to be able to accomplish this was no small feat. It could almost pass off as an original piece. Had this been ready for Polyphia's cover contest, it would have blown the doors off the cover that ended up winning, no doubt. Food for thought. Cheers.
Beautiful 😍 thanks for introducing me to this ❤️
Playing Gods
every note is perfect
You are headed for grand career in mixing, and professionally presenting videos. Well done and ty for thus.
This must be a joke lmao
Sounds like a touch of Smooth drum and bass added in very nice
No dawg 🤣🤣
More like trap
its slightly off, the synchronization. you can hear cause both have the drums in them, and the drums sound slightly off
yas!
That's monstrous talent, it's imposible
Omg my two fav versions together complimenting <3 Love it! I am hearing a bit of muffling on one side though (the official video I think?). Is it possible to clear it up? Sorry I don't know anything about sound editing so not sure if I'm saying it right, but if possible...!
A combined fierce performance. Masters and champions. King and and Queen. Congrats fans of both, they share their talent and creativity with us. We are Loved. Wootwoot!!!!!💗👑💎
And there u have it. The women's touch. Complimenting eachother. As soul mates can. Hats off to u for bringing them into one video. Ty.
Not only she did an amazing cover but also I appreciate the set the video production level.
Yoooooooo dude you actually did this!!!!
talented people
Damn man 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Best mashup EVAH
good job in doing this. it could have been better (for me) if guzeng was more into background i guess.
whoa
First comment, good job.
It’s not that they don’t exist anymore it’s just that there are three timelines that were created due to the smashing of the time spheres. Serenica going back in time would be the true timline we would experience in DQ 3-2
THERE ARE NO TIMELINES TIME GETS ERASED READ WHAT THE GAME EXPLICITLY SAYS GOD DAMN
@@TheSpartanS196 You are taking your interpretation of the timekeeper's cryptic words over the actual in-game events that contradict your interpretation. When Serenica shatters the timesphere, did you suddenly cease to exist? No; you went back to Cobblestone and lived peacefully until Veronica and Serena show up to convince you to return the Sword of Light to the Yggdrasil. So, either the timekeeper/Serenica was wrong, or we misunderstood her
@@MultivectorAnalysis Or the ending was poorly written in the grand scheme of things. Horii is a great guy but not the most solid writer out there. One thing he REALLY wanted to be clear, though, was that the destruction of the time sphere leads to the erasure of time. The dude said it 30 different times. lmao
@@TheSpartanS196 I can agree with a lot of what's here and honestly I feel I have greater respect for act 3 due to this video. However I really don't think it hurts anything to have multiple timelines in my opinion, and I know how you feel about it and I respect that, but in order to believe you on only 1 timeline I have to ignore ( or pretend did not happen ) the return the Sword of Light to the Yggdrasil, the Yggdragon reveal and for the protagonist to be given title of Erdrick. Which I believe Yuji Hori did this intentionally open us to interpret and debate but I don't think we should ignore it because it doesn't fit in the our narrative
@@miketuswarking4420 Horii himself confirmed the one only timeline theory: ruclips.net/video/7vi8caq1UHE/видео.html , around 1h 58min
Yuji Hori: Hey let’s make a game that doesn’t exist. DQ 11: 🫥
Really great video. Dragon quest XI was my first dragon quest so I wasn't quite sure what the ending means and who those people were. I knew it probably means a lot to fans of the series so I felt like I missed out a bit by not knowing the lore. Now that you've explained the ending my appreciation for the game is even greater than before.
I'm really happy that I made someone else's experience with this magnificent game even better! <3
Act 3 fucking sucks. It’s a big fat 0. Thank goodness I did a seperate save file for this. The moment I figured out I’m not getting my original party back, I deleted the save files before I let the game ruin the characters and especially Serena. It’s a big fuck you to those who grinded these characters and watch how they grew throughout their adventures.
bro you play far enough you get your levels back you literally didn't give it a chance lol. But I agree I did not like act 3 cause of grinding to level 99 to beat the super boss and grinding pep pops. I love slime quest though that's my dragon quest personal story.
Act 3 is awesome and what makes Dragon Quest XI as a whole a masterpiece instead of "just" a good game (as it would have been if it ended with Act 2). Just play it, then you can talk.
Pretty much
@@TheSpartanS196 I personally didn't like act 3 it felt more confusing and strange. your party members feel a lot more hollow since they didn't go though what the protagonist went through as you went back in time and a lot of their development gets lost. And also this is a bit nit picky but the pep move Sylvando uses (The one with the soldiers of smile) doesn't make sense since the soldiers of smile don't exist at that time but that just me nit picking. I feel like the game should've just ended when you beat mordegon veronica could've stayed dead.
@@Queggins Then it would be full of plotholes regarding the Age of Heroes, about which until Act 2 we know basically nothing.
I knew someone would make that.
