Tweed Garden - inspired by England
Чехия
Добавлен 6 апр 2023
My name is Radka and I am Bohemian :-). A real one, with Bohemia in my birth certificate... ( if you have never heard about this place, Bohemia is a part of the Czech Republic, the one with Prague in ;-)).
I love English countryside, style and gardens and I love creating all kind of things. My passion since childhood are fabrics and sewing, I love drawing and painting, hanging walpaper and creating interiors. And I love to travel and drive my wonderful orange Subaru.
I started this channel in 2023 when I finished my job after twenty years. I started my new life journey with a long trip around UK. It had been the best 8 weeks holidays and since that time I keep on posting my impressions and inspirations I get during the time I spent in England .
I wanted to share my English delights with everyone who, just like me, likes to walk in gardens, listen to birds singing and sighs when a room is well-tempered by a lovely wallpaper and heavy curtains.

Serene beauty of the garden in Nymans
Sussex is full of charming places to visit. Nymans has already been on my list of favourite gardens since I visited it the first time in 2022. It was hot and dry August and plants were suffering from lack of water. Which is why when I had an opportunity to revisit in June this year, I returned...
And I didn´t regret. The weather was pleasant and the garden rewarded me for my return by its lush colors, amazing flower fragrances and charming bird songs.
Hope you will enjoy this calm walk and the charming atmosphere of Nymans, the country home of Messel family.

Return to Pooh Bridge

I like Winnie the Pooh Stories so when there was a Pooh Bridge just a short drive from my camping, I had to see it.... It´s in Ashdown Forest and if you like Edward the Bear, you can walk across the 100 Akre wood, search for Piglet's house or play Pooh Sticks... poohcorner.co.uk/ashdown-forest/ #poohbridge #poohsticks
Morgan Factory Tour
Просмотров 11 тыс.21 день назад
I was planning to visit the Morgan factory a year ago but at that time I didn´t manage. This year I didn´t want to repeat the same mistake. It was a bit tricky because I decided on Friday evening and I only had a weekend to manage... But all went as planned and now I finally finished my video from this truly exceptional experience at Morgan. From the moment the tour started I forgot about exter...

Wonderful mornings in the Hideaway Cabin
Love to see those in the flower boarders 👌
Yes, they are perfect and those vibrant colors always stand out... but the ones in Hinton Ampner were the best I have seen so far :)
Nice 👍
My favorite tea ☕
Yes :-) A perfect blend :-)
Thats the kind of house i could of easily live in 👍 beautiful gardens and house 👌 and ofcourse the NT shop
The destroyed part? :-D Yes, it´s very cosy there...plus if you had all volunteers working on the garden, that might work, what you think? :-D
Thats very clever 👍 nice work 👌
You are very kind, just like always :-)
Wonderful 👌 it's a magical place nice film
Thank you @glyn829, you are always very kind.. I met in one of the campings men who told me when he was a child, you could climb on the stones .. unimaginable these days.. I was wondering how they do it during solstices...Do they let people near the stones or are they circling around just like everyday turists... With a view on the busy road it all felt a bit surreal...
Working on Nymans garden now.. What a charming estate :-)
@@tweedgarden we visited a few years ago you could get quite close but not touch them yes it's strange to see the cars passing by isn't it
Much better than the yellow version. (Without trolling this magic monument is what makes you fell in awe. It's a time-machine !) Beautiful ❤
@@jsb7975 The Salisbury Plain is charming.. It makes you think a lot about past. The Camping in Salisbury is right under the Old Sarum... If someone fortold to the late kings this future reality would they believe?
A pity that we can't see how the factory operates. My memory of Morgan stems from the Troubleshooter TV programme presented by John Harvey-Jones. He showed how they would start fabricating a chassis and then climb abord to ride down the hill to another shed where the doors would be fitted. Then they'd push it back up the hill to the first shed where they'd fit the mirrors, Another ride down the hill would bring them to a different shed where the engine would go in before someone would carry in some seats.....Apparently they'd had a dream for 40 years of producing a 4th car in a week but that would have entailed less pushing. I wonder whether it's the same now.
That´s the challenge of being at a special place only once. If I came in different part of the week, the workshops would be busy. But than I would be limited by very narrow area where are people allowed to walk . Plus as I wrote before, not everybody is happy to be filmed.... One can´t get everything in one go.. Maybe the next time if I had an opportunity to return. But - there are a few more videos on Morgan factory on youtube so I believe you can find more. We heard hilarious stories about how they sit in chases without seats testing the new motors and driving in these Morgan skeletons in around company grounds. It´s the challenge of these special experiences - you wan tto capture as much as possible from what you enjoyed at the given moment. Had I an opportunity to be there for a few days, I could create something much better 🙂
The Guide mentioned that programme - one of the points they implemented was that they moved the workshops more in tune with the processes not to push the cars to the hill when they are not yet ready. I am surprised myself how little they tell on their web pages.. probably to make people come and see. But it was really nice - old way of doing things by hands
@@tweedgarden It was an excellent series. Each week J H-J would visit a failing business and be ushured into the boardroom where the directors would bemoan their bonus. Then, like Richard Feynman at NASA, the guys on the shop floor would recount how they'd told the bosses again and again that their hair-brained schemes hadn't a hope. The rest of each programme would follow him cajoling the bosses. The Morgan programme was the final one of the series and where he thought he failed to get everyone to pull together.
The guide said that they didn´t take everything from the advice but the "pushing" was seen as a problem even by Morgan so they rearranged the flow of work so that they don´t havet do that anymore... "Who would build a car factory on a hill" was a cute quote from the serie that was mentioned...But it has a special charm - the fact it´s not flat and the workshops are houses with roofs and not just flat modern boxes :-)
The song I used was composed by the dad of my friend before the second world war. I always liked it but only later in life I met a colleague who told me it was her dad's work :)
The aircraft repair shop I work at has ended up with an old Morgan that belonged to a pilot that died. The car was in the hangar with his plane. It is old , maybe a 1956. Right hand drive, red and it looks to be in good condition. I got to drive it down to our hangar the other day. The steering is very heavy but it has more spunk than my old MGB had.
I owned a plus 8 for my sins , I had wanted one since I was apprentice and first saw the roadtest in Motor Sport , I've also had a 4 4 with a Cosworth engine in that was great , But back to the plus 8 and I hated it , gone now and I have a Healey 3000 , I have done the factory tour and for me the best bit was the afternoon tea , the tour is for people who know nothing about motorcars !
Than I was in the right place :-) I know nothing"about motorcars :) I just like the traditional design, and handcraft related to the production.
no idea they had become so prosperous
Nicely made film 👌
Thank you :) You are always very kind :)
Wow 10k views well done 👍

Excellent film quality, editing and music!
Thank you for ypur kind comment. I really invested a lot if energy to present this beauty in a way that would share the joy of being able to see it all :)
This experience was worth the one hour detour on my way to Chipping Norton ;)
Since when has Malvern been in the Cotswolds?
I made a detour on my way there.
Great hair!
Thank you :) you are very kind :)
Not a single shot of the orchestra in the background 😕 Otherwise nice footage 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
It was the last tour of the week, Saturday after lunch and they started their weekend. It is the only tour when you see the workshops quiet.. this is why it was special...
Not forgetting also that "Finchley Central is two and sixpence from Golders Green on the Northern Line".
:-)
Excellent 👌 liked the music and through the key hole 👍
Thanks for liking :-).. That crypt is charming. Only doesn´t give much space for filming
This garden is quite dense and wild, very unique.
It is.. Unforgettable :-)
Lovely paper 👌
Thank you :) Finished and hope it will be ok tomorrow :).
I would love to re-visit …we managed to look around the gardens as covid hit & the house had just closed its doors . Such a beautiful place .
It is! I was there many years ago and although it was early October, it was still magical. I always wanted to re-visit when the garden is at its prime...and June was just the best time.. still fresh and quiet, all getting ready for summer warmth :) Hope my video make you feel a bit like you were back in this charming place :)
Very relaxing 👍
Thank you. It definitely is a place you can spend the whole afternoon just observing all that beuty :)
Nádherné..
Moc děkuji za milý komentář. Ano, Verča a Jirka dokázali s tím zbořeništěm malý zázrak :-)
Such interesting places to wonder around 👍
English churches are always such a quiet and peaceful places. I am always astonished how many of them are always open to visitors (not this one, however.. closed at 4PM)
Lovely 👌 we enjoy visiting the Cotswolds
yes, it is such a charming place :-)
Very nice 👍
Thank you. You are always very k8nd :)
I remember visiting Cotehele when I lived in England and vacationed with family in Cornwall and Devon. The gardens are as glorious as I remember, I also recall the dovecotes and stream. I have lived in Ontario, Canada 34 years and do miss the countryside and gardens
Thanks for sharing. I hope I brought you by the video a bit of that amazing feeling when you stroll around this garden... To me it was just some 15-16 years when I was there before this visit but all that time I remembered how charming the place is... And I always wanted to return :-)
Gorgeous! Such marvelous expressions by Gaia.
It's perfect there, thanks. Feels like paradise when you walk there :)

You are really lucky :). It is such a magical place... I couldn' t force myself to leave... when I returned in the afternoon to the house the volunteers were in shock I was still there.. I stayed till the closing time ...
@@tweedgarden 😊 yes, it gets to you.

Wonderful camera! thank you. Splendidly done!
You are very kind, thank you :-) Hope to make some more .. this place is simply splendid and I return each time when I go to England 🙂
Beautiful 😍
Thank you :-)
Beautiful place 👌
It is :-) Plus I can never believe it´s only a family project and the whole house and garden are looked after just by four people :-)
A beautiful garden and the cat looked very relaxed lol 👍
:-D.. very true... I tried to wake her up but the few yawns was the only action she was willing to perform that lazy day 🙂 So much different to the gardens of Heligan which I visited only few days later ... they were absolutely crowded .. Which is why I kept this video so slow and lazy.. to preserve the slow sunny day 🙂
Very nice 👍
