I have always done & enjoyed accomplishing different DIY projects. Whether it be working on the house, completely gutting my kitchen & bathroom, finishing my unfinished basement, building a 12' x 20' shed, tearing off & installing my shingled roof, new gutters, replacing windows & doors, installing kitchen cabinets, removing a load bearing wall, repairing or replacing a leaky faucet, installing completely new drainage, water, gas lines, fixing or maintaining vehicles & lawn equipment, outside yard work....I have learned how to do many things through the years and would like to share some of these experiences & knowledge with those who may enjoy or need a helping hand.

Good video
Thank you for watching!
If you have to grease rubber bushings they are bad. Rubber does not use grease only polyurethane.
Any update on how long it last? 😊
What’s the purple stuff he poured in first?
Jesus you don't have to take all of that apart. Gotta love shade tree don't know anything mechanics smh. Ever heard of a right angle drill???? Outside of the bolt is 18 mm all you have to do is remove jug to right side of radiator smh
Got this going on with my Jeep Liberty. I think I'll give this product a go tomorrow. Thanks for the video.
Dang I don’t envy having sex in that truck! 😂
Hey, how long did it last for you ?
Lasted for a while. Close to a year I’d say. Only reason I had to reapply it was because I had alignment and tire rotation done. They must have adjusted something. Have had to spray a time or two after that
As a truck mechanic I can say this is not how you do this...but good luck have fun lol. Oh and that coolant is not 10 year 100k like it says on the bottle. If you do that you will need a heater core like every other ram owner who believes that bs. Change your coolant at 50k folks.
thanks for the video , I use the same oil but I’m in Canada and even though our bottles of pennzoil look exactly like yours , it says that it’s 5litres here not 5 quarts . 5 litres is like 5.2 quarts so am i over filling my engine ?
As long as it’s between the lines on the dipstick when you check it, you are fine. Thanks for watching!
Just did the same on my car! Its been making noise when I turn at low speeds after I lowered it, but only 25-50% of the time. I took it back to the shop so they can check it over. They made sure all the bolts were torqued but the problem persisted. Today I decided to try WD40 gel. 4 years later. Immediate improvement once I drove away. Just hoping it lasts. Hell, I might even do the rest of the suspension just because it seems to work. :)
Hopefully it last a while for you. I’m sure you will have to reapply at some point. Thanks for watching!
any update friend? My 13' escalade is crying and I would like to know if this is viable. I don't mid doing it once a month either until i decide the arms are worth replacing
@@SurosNova its worth trying! Made a noticeable improvement. I would recommend turning the wheel side to side when you do. I literally left it centered when I applied it and it could only help.
Thank you brother
Thanks for watching!
gotta try this on my 05 pathfinder soon
Let me know if it works.
@ works great til moisture gets back in. Try to stay dry and it should work for awhile. 👍🏼
Any update on how long this lasts? Ordering some of that wd40 now for mine, thanks for the fix!
Lasted for a while. Close to a year I’d say. Only reason I had to reapply it was because I had alignment and tire rotation done. They must have adjusted something. Have had to spray a time or two after that
At the very end you found a new noise. lol
YEAH!!!! Geten nare deep like boi! lol
I just got new control arms and its making this squeeking sound when i come to a stop..
It’s the material they are using to make them. I’m sure it’s less expensive and they are trying to make an extra buck.
How long did it last
Lasted a good while before I had to respray it
Only reason I had to respray was because I had alignment done.
I only have 15k miles on my 2022 Chevy equinox, it started squeaking recently & it’s driving me crazy
I can understand that
wow. My 2013 escalade has been owned by my family for 225k miles, and only recently did it start doing this. Crazy. sounds like you live in the rockiest of Rockies lol for it to go bad in 15k miles. Or GM is deciding to finally start producing Korean cars badged as american
Did it last ?
Lasted a good while before I had to spray again
Cool diy ad I love those things big daddy
My 2010 Nissan Armada is doing the same thing!! Your video was very informative and you’ve gained a new subscriber 😊
Glad it was helpful to you! Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Thanks for the video! Nice truck!!
Appreciate you watching! Thank you!
Why the old colors is pink and new coolant is purple
When the control arms and bushings are installed the bushings are supposed to be greased on the inside, they will squeak if not greased. Some mechanics will recommend to replace the control arms just to get that money !!
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
I appreciate this video. Thank you sir 🙏
Thanks for watching!
Bro thank you so much this worked in less than 20 minutes although I’m curious because my control arms are new but they are after market why is there noise if they’re new? Also I haven’t gotten an alignment yet could that be the reason aswell?
I think it’s just the cheap material they are making the bushings out of. They do anything to save a penny. Nothing to do with alignment I doubt.
@@diywise how can I fix it if the noise comes back?
Yeah but how long does it last?
Lasted close to a year and started to squeak again because I had alignment done and tire rotation. Thanks for watching!
That only works for a couple of hours everyone
Not true in my case and many others have messaged saying it worked for them also. That’s a broad statement to make. Don’t get me wrong, everyone will have different experiences with this and may need new control arms or bushings. Do you have squeaky bushings and did you try it? Thanks for watching!
Wow, thanks for the video. I actually can’t believe it worked. I took my truck to the mechanic and ask him and he sprayed it with PB blaster, but there was no improvement. I’m gonna keep spraying it with chain and cable lube, and hope that lube can get down in there. Thank you for posting the video!
Not sure the consistency or what the chain lube is made of, but I know the WD40 gel line worked in my instance. Thanks for watching!
Shouldn’t you flush it and not mix coolants ?
In order to “flush out” the system you would need to drain, fill, run engine; drain, fill, run engine; repeat…there is no way to evacuate the entire system completely. The hoses, bottom of radiator…will always have some in You will keep diluting it but some of the old will always be in the system. As far as mixing coolants, I don’t mix any coolants, it was Mopar coolant the same that the truck came with at the factory. Thanks for watching!
No need to flush out the system?
Thank you for the video... I'll be doing this as soon as I get off work. That squeaking drives me crazy lol... Luckily Ive got an aftermarket stereo system that I can crank up to make the squeaking go away 🙄
lol. I know the feeling. Hopefully it works for you also. Thanks for watching!
😂😂😂
I hate that they made all these bushings and ball joints to where you cant grease them anymore... Just seems stupid
Agree! Everything is non-serviceable anymore.
Simple they can make money off of you parts will fail
So where is the update video on the squeaking noise please?
I plan on uploading one her in the next couple weeks. Thank you!
I’ve seen countless oil change videos on the RAM 1500, and this video was well done. All the keys things to do were covered; using a ziplock bag, propping truck up for more space underneath, wiping everything down real well when finished. I have a ‘21 RAM 1500 and will be doing an oil change soon myself.
This guy is beyond comprehension!!!
I‘m from germany and I can understand him quite good.
NGL That's from pressure washing too much truck looks new😂
Had these squeaks on my bimma, my bushings were all good. WD40 Silicone did the trick
Glad it worked for you! Thanks for watching!
Great video, thanks! Exact same squeak on my Ford Edge. Drivers side lower control arm bushings and of course they make you buy the complete $400 arm. I'll try this stuff until I get around to replacing the arm. I can't believe the big 3 don't make these bushings serviceable.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Hopefully it works to hold you over until you can change the control arm. Craziness that you can’t change just the bushing anymore. Thank you for watching!
There's more than squeaking .. hear the clunking? My guess after a week or 2 it will return.. you have excessive play in something
Thanks for watching. This has been close to a year ago with no issues. As you can see in the video the noise was there before I sprayed the control arm bushings and after it was applied, no noise. And by chance, I just had my vehicle inspected this week with zero problems.
I reapplied the product about a month after the initial application and haven’t had an issue since. Thank you
Omg where did get that ?? Have that very same squeak
I purchased at my local auto store
When I change my oil every 5000 miles by using a mechanics lift . I liberally spray ALL rubber components with 303 Protectant and even the inside , tire walls . It's water based so it will absorb excellently . This to help them resist drying out and cracking .
Were you able to add all the coolant once you started and work out the air and it to bring it to the full mark ?? I’m old school with a radiator cap and this side tank has me sketchy.
I was able to add a little more once it ran and cooled down. You ask if I was able to add “all the coolant”. Not able to add the full capacity that ram specifies because some is always in the radiator a little since the drain is in the side of the radiator and not the very bottom.
@@diywise got ya , makes total sense. Thank you sir for your timely response
The detail on your leather is really nice. I've never seen embossing like that.
Thank you! Ram did a very good job with this one.
My '03 1500 is having that same squeaking problem. I'll try this and see if it works. Thanks for the video!
Appreciate you watching! Hopefully work for you also!
Did it help ??
@@joshythepickupman It didn't get rid of the noise completely but it helped
Cool video thanks!!!!
Glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
great tip. worked. turning the wheel gave better access. lay down on a piece of cardboard. didn't need a hoist
Glad it helped!
Every time I've had that noise it was either a bad tie rod or a bad ball joint.
Not in this circumstance, haven’t had any issues since it was sprayed a couple times.
Won’t last long, you’ll be needing a new upper control arm soon.
Not the case, it is newer. From what I read a lot of the rubber that they used in certain control arms will produce this noise.
My Tacoma developed a horrible squeek in the LCA bushing at 170K miles. I lubed the bushing twice with liquid wrench and the squeeking stopped temporarily. The WD40 product looks like it may last longer but I think the squeeking is likely to return after a period of time. Still, its worth a try until you can get around to replacing the bushings.
With a 170,000 miles that would be expected to replace by then. They are shot by then
