I make all of my tall pots in two pieces. In this video I make the bottom upside down and the top right side up. This method has several advantages. First of all, the edges that will ultimately be attached will both be moist and have similar moisture content. Secondly, both the rim of the pot and the foot will be finished when the pieces are attached. No trimming or finish work will be needed.
