FUCK CEDAR FAIR.

Cedar fair can eat a fat one. The park lived for so long just for them to ruin it. I remember as soon as Six Flags left just how bad the quality went and they were immediately looking to move stuff to their other properties. It's truly disgusting. I went there almost every year since 1992 until the year they closed and seeing the state of the place over the years is like a dagger to my childhood. What I'd give to have a time machine to go back to the place during 2001-2003 era when it was just a massive and amazing place.

This video gets me to think of how I miss geauga lake amusement park so much. It was and still is my favorite amusement park although I have went to cedar point amusement park a bunch of times.

This is what happens when a generation that didn't earn anything or build what they inherent get. So much love went into this park, just for greedy pieces of trash to buy it and destroy it in a few short years. All our memories gone. While stoch holders get richer. Pathetic.

Sad. I went to Sea World across the lake, but parents wouldn't take me to Geauga Lake Park, so I never had the chance to ride that beautiful wooden coaster. I'd give a month's salary to ride it for a day ( and a year's salary to ride the "accidentally" burned down Blue Streak ). I bet a lot of people who grew-up riding that coaster would do the same. We all need to support every remaining park we can. I recently looked up a bunch of parks that I had no idea existed. Gonna go to each this year.

What are all the square white things in the water?

I went there in the 70s and 80s and it was magical. I can still smell the way it was back then. The funnel cake the sounds and how tired you were after 8 hours of nothing but a great time.

That just makes me sad.

Great drone footage. I went there as a kid and miss it so much. I wish I knew what it looked like with some before pictures because I can't remember much. I wonder if that standing coaster is still there today.

I worked here the summers of 82, 83 and 84. I worked on the paddle boat docks and driving the "Big Ditch" boat. It's so surreal watching this video and recognizing so many of the parts of the park. Beautiful footage.

I've been in ohio 3 years now and literally just found out about this place 2 minutes ago through an article,never got ro experience this place and just viewing the footage makes me want to cry I can just feel this was a magical place with lots of joy and memories

I had so much fun going here and to sea world. Seeing the old big dipper brings back memories. All wood and it was fun. It would beat my back up but it was worth it. I always waited for the front seat. Thank you for this wonderful clip, the music fits the video. Thank you cedar point for closing this park you creeps... 😆

I love Cedar Point but Cedar Fair sucks. They do this and make parks like Michigan's Adventure crappy on purpose. I'm done supportting them. They won't see anymore business from me.

Geauga Lake opened in 1887. In 1925, the park received its first roller coaster the Big Dipper. In 1968, the park was sold to Funtime. Premier Parks purchased Geauga Lake from Funtime in 1995. In 1998, Premier Parks adopted the Six Flags name. In 2000, the park was rechristened to Six Flags Ohio. SeaWorld Ohio was annexed to the theme park in 2001, billing the two newly unified complexes as Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. Cedar Fair swooped the park up from Six Flags in 2004, reinstituting the park's original Geauga Lake name and shedding the park of all Looney Tunes and DC Comics theming and branding. The animals were retained by Six Flags and distributed to its other theme parks. The former SeaWorld Ohio complex was shuttered and later razed. In 2005, Cedar Fair announced that it would construct Wildwater Kingdom on the former marine and zoological site of SeaWorld Ohio. In 2007, Cedar Fair administered a coup de grace on the ride side of Geauga Lake and operate it exclusively as a waterpark for the 2008 season. In 2016, Cedar Fair administered another coup de grace, this time, on Wildwater Kingdom.

This was Cedar Points greatest goal was to shut down this once great park. I worked there several years and remember every bit of what was in all those torn apart places. I'll never visit anything cedar point owns.

Cedar Fair greed. I grew up going here. That place had much potential. I have seen worse parks across the country that are still in operation. This park had something for all ages and interest when it was Worlds of Adventure.

i used to go here when i was like 6 and now i’m 20 and i can’t remember anything about about this place other than how upset my whole family was when it was announced to be closing for good it’s sad to me to see what this place looks like knowing i had a great time there but not having the memories

It breaks my heart seeing this.. went there often as a child and the last year we went the X-flight was gone and the tracks on the Villian were changed, ruining that coaster for us. We would ride it over and over and over, after the track change we road it once and never again.. Thanks cedar point for ruining many peoples childhoods and ripping away something future generations would have enjoyed just as much. Now I know how my mother felt about Idora Park..
