Got my limit of halibut out on the ocean and got to record the fight of the smaller one. I need to invest in a chest strap for my go pro, didn't get the fish in frame, but added some quality pictures of them. Launched Near Island 7-14-2024 Kodiak, AK

how about a rubber net next time so we don't have to actually step on the fish

also the color on that fish is cool to actually see
they really bite that fast after a cast thats kinda cool

Peter Zoeller of Tacoma and his buddy from Alaska were just out fishing near Kodiak Island when Pete hooked up with a halibut the size of a garage door. The captain let him bring it up to get a good look and then cut the line. Halibut season was closed. Pete was related to the great Fuzzy Zoeller and both are unfortunately no longer with us.

Beautiful view out there and nice catch that thing looks massive. Ive never caught something bigger than a small bass back in the day

id be scared of stepping on like lures or hooks but this is really cool. how is diving you like doing it? being underwater kinda freaks me out at least like deep water does
@@HazardousRobb I was getting some lures by stepping on them haha. Luckily they don’t go through my shoes. I love diving. We never went into really deep water. We been talking about diving in the ocean. Then I’d be scared lol
@@BadNewsOutdoors yeah for sure that would scare the hell out of me. but its cool you guys do diving and fishing too or just one or the other usually? seems like a good time aside from what looked to be cold as hell water.
@@HazardousRobb water is so cold 😂 and most of the times we are fishing somewhere and see all the lures so we come back with our suits

@@alfredoverno9674 I’ve been told not bad eating by a few people. I caught one that was still silver it was so fresh. I kept those filets and gonna try to make a fish burger one day.
@BadNewsOutdoors hello, they look pretty good (not molting). What time of year? You in Ak.? I made it as far north as Washington. I call WA. "Alaska-lite". Because my personal feelings.... Alaska is way harder to survive than Washington.

@@TimTammi-u9u Dies geschieht bei niedrigem Wasserstand. Bei hohem Wasserstand gehen sie weiter flussaufwärts. Wenn das Wasser zur Neige geht, verfangen sich Lachse in diesen Becken und machen es dem Bären leicht, sie zu jagen Entschuldigung, mein Deutsch ist nicht gut. Ich versuche es aber
