Hello, this is the owner of vfr. Don't get mad at me, but I wouldn't even fix a scooter like that. Such attempts are better made on mopeds that do not deserve it, but not on these machines. This video just proves that sometimes it's better to sell it for parts than to do this crap... At least you could have removed the plastic for the paint.

Just got one with 85k miles. A beautiful car for sure, and has a good amount of power. I sent my ABS out for servicing due to parking assist and a few other codes it was throwing. Hopefully you post more about this car. I’m definitely looking forward to the updates on your ride.

The yellow car light relates to any yellow warning that you get on your dash (Parking sensor faults, bulbs out etc.) and if you go into the on board computer on the i-drive, under "checks" youll see the list of problems making the yellow car appear. Just be glad its not red 😅

Looks like a decent example you've got there! For your gas struts holding the doors, dont start with the £100 struts! Just check the rubber bush that attaches the strut to the inside of the door. £15 for a pack of 4. I've got a project thread for mine over on Bimmerforum UK for mine. Keen to see more of yours!

That yellow car sign pops up if you have minor errors, not much to worry about. Red car sign pops if the problem rather serious. if you can get into the secret menu in the speedometer, you can see the existing ongoing errors in the car, there will be error codes numbers you can find reference from Googling. Get a scan on the car if you want to know what's going on with the car. I recommend INPA software, others prefer ISTA, Autel or such. Mine has about 47-53 errors give or take, a, E66 2002, which I use it every few days and am still running today with no fuss. I ran the car 2 years without I get my hands on any repair, before deciding to having incremental upgrades, so not exactly repair. Despite not being repaired within that 2 years time, the car has performed exceptionally well over that past two years without requiring any maintenance from my pocket, 2018-2020. The year is now 2024 and I'm happy with my 22 year old E66 and absolutely have no regrets about buying it. Kudos to Bayern Machine Works.
