Oh wow- suddenly I realise how so many of my childhood memories are scrambled- a strange mix of chronicles of Narnia (Giant talking mouse), Starwars (aren't those fluffy things Ewoks?), Lord of the rings (Strange and dangerous quest with a bunch to find whatever), and Willie Wonder (orange person). No wonder I'm a confused adult! Watching this was the highlight of the week at primary school though!
And how about forward-thinking video-phones. Maybe Steve Jobs was a fan of look and read...
Timothy Lyn never did much acting afterwards it seems. Shame, as I think he was such a memorable character in this (as Boris), and could have been bang-on for so many roles

Two things that scorned my childhood at primary school, charn and dark towers

I watched this when I was 7 or 8 when it first aired and it’s always been stuck in the back of mind, especially this battle which scared me as much as it excited. I couldn’t remember what it was called so googled 80s kids programme with a dragon and golden triangles and eventually found it. As soon as I started watching it I instantly knew the words to the theme tune despite over 30 years since seeing it. Nostalgia sure is powerful stuff.

Ewan Ellis They certainly didn't. Very few people even had mobile phones, they were the size of a breeze block and you could barely hear the other person talking through all the static! Despite the low production values and the cheesy effects of this show...it was quite ahead of its time, this was many years before the likes of Skype, FaceTime etc...even the internet. This show predicted the future!

*sometimes it is necessary to expose the core for maintenance purposes* I'm hazarding a guess to why the Veetacore blew up, the keepers didn't maintain it for years and it malfunctioned.
I remember this well from my school days. I know there are a few off key songs in there, but the storyline is just epic with lots of plot twists, and Gorwen was awesome. Definitively one of the best TV shows from my childhood, thank you so much for sharing!
