For the priority envelopes do the items need to be at 1lb or 16oz to ship that way. I’m also new to selling comics on whatnot and as I’ve been reading through some guidelines I’ve seen that in order to use priority shipping the item has to be at that 16oz limit as a minimum. Even with two comics in an envelope I was barely getting 10 oz.

Why is using media mail illegal? Books are a form of media. I don't see what's wrong with it other than it's very slow.

Dont ship media mail? I literally receive books from well known online stores via media mail. What's annoying about it? Ive never annoyed a friend or customer, nor have I been annoyed by shipping or receiving via media mail.

Some of those so called modern books aren't even worth pressing imo,but whoever took care of the book should be trusted

"...send your packages how you want to receive your packages..." "...don't ship Media Mail..." Two pieces of sage advice.

The worst one I ever attended was today in Lees Summit Missouri.It was called LS Toy/Comic/Art Expo 2022. It was 10 dollars to get in.But I ended up going through the back door,so I got in free.Now,I did not know where the entrance was.I tried 2 other doors and they were both locked.So,I didn't go there with the intention of not paying..but i am glad I didn't pay anything because it was NOT worth it. Now,I'm one of those guys that goes to a comicon for comics.Anything else,probably isn't going to interest me. There was only one vendor that had boxes and boxes and boxes of comics.I looked through his $2 boxes,I looked through his $1 boxes and his other boxes which were current comics 50% off.I ended up buying a total of 5 comics and spent $5. For me,that is just pitiful.I typically end up buying anywhere from 40 to 80 comics at a con. And that was just about it for comics.One vendor did have a stack of maybe 20 comics and they were not boxed or bagged or boarded.Another vendor had some Classics Illustrated and a box of I don't remember what. The rest of the sellers were hawking action figures.art and crap you would find on Etsy. I circled the whole thing 3 times and left with my 5 comics and that's all I purchased. I got completely F'ed by them last year,as I saw something online about the same location having a con(expo...whatever you want to call it).So i drove out there only to find out it had been cancelled. So,if you live nearby...check it out..maybe..if you want to waste $10. Fortunately,i had a much better experience last weekend at Back In Time Comics and Toys 2nd anniversary sale.They were selling their dollar box comics for 50 cents each.I ended up buying between 80 and 90s comics and had a lot of fun digging through the boxes.

I have been watching WhatNot for the past week and I am absolutely amazed at the feeding frenzy I see (which is what sellers want, certainly), especially for something like 'Mystery Bags' that are bid up without ever seeing what is inside - taking the sellers word for the range the books represent at FMV inside the bag. Totally nuts. Folks bidding $500-$600 sight unseen. Wow.

Anyone know how long it takes to get approved to sell/live auctions? My girlfriend sells Funko pops and she has 42k followers on TikTok and 8k on Twitter and 5k on Instagram. I heard that having a social media following is a shortcut to getting approved???

Have you tried using swiffer pads instead of tissue? The dry ones of course. They work great for me

Can’t believe how negative people are sometimes. Sorry you have to go through that junk. I clean and press a lot but watch a bunch of peoples videos always looking for new techniques and methods that may be nice to try. Keep up your good work.

my mailman walks up to my door and just drops my boxes and I hear a huge thunk which lets me know I got my delivery 😭

I was scammed on the app (whatnot) I bought into a break, hit a huge 7/10 revolution lava and the seller never sent it. I have screen recording proof of the pull and opening the package and customer service won’t help. The best they can give is a refund but the card is worth more. There is no buyer protection and no repercussions for sellers who don’t abide by the platform rules.

This is my families personal experience but I would like to warn everyone about the sketchy side of using Whatnot. Long story semi-short, my son was able to create an account using a family email and our banking info. He is 13, a minor. Yet he made several purchases via the app. Kids will be kids right? Also, not a crazy amount of money. We noticed the activity within a few hours and reached out to both the seller, and support from the app. The seller denied the request to cancel the transactions, but expressed he wont be shipping the items. Whatnot eventually got back to me, to which they said. And Im paraphrasing here, "Sorry about your luck, its your responsibility to protect your bank account. Are sales are binding." Binding? for a minor? Anyway, i am now in the process of dealing with this through my bank which is requiring us to get all new card information. I am having to file a complaint with the BBB, all on principal because some sketchy startup wont refund money some kid spent online. This all happened in about a 10 hour period, nothing shipped. Im sure its great when used as intended, but the lengths they are going to put a wall between me and the 30+ dollars my kid spent online is ridiculous. Anyway its not about the money for me, but it could be for someone else. Buyer beware, you have ZERO protections, ZILTCH!!!!!
