I do not think you need to do any preparation in advance, you should definitely spend time relaxing as much as you can before the course starts! You will have plenty of time throughout the course for self study time where you can brush up on biology and the content you are being taught. In my cohort we had different backgrounds too and everyone seemed to grasp the concepts just fine 2. Thank you so much! I am incredibly pleased to be working now. I will for sure make a video with some practical tips on the next steps after uni! And congrats to you for your next exciting step!!

Congratulations that’s great news! Yes of course, masters students are also encouraged to join societies and sports, it all depends on your time management and how much you’re willing to commit to those things! Yes, there is many opportunities to socialise especially in the first week with masters dedicated social events. 😊I’m not sure about the last comment, I think everyone lives relatively close to campus and it’s easier to people to get together!

Hi there, glad you enjoyed the video. It depends on the course you are looking to do, you will find all the relevant information on Imperials websites. For example the MSc course I am doing has 5 rounds of application between 4th November 2022 and 7th July 2023. You will get a decision usually in a month and a half! Hope this helps

Hi sorry I might have said it in a confusing way. I was offered positions at KCL and UCL but I chose to study at Imperial for my masters. In my undergrad I didn’t apply to UCL so I had decided on KCL because of the good things I’d heard about their life science department! ☺️

I would definitely say that you should take up courses on the side that align with your degree. These have been shown to really help with expanding your background and make you stand out more as an applicant! Also do extensive research before hand with companies you are interested in applying to and reach out and start networking.

There are three rounds of masters applications I believe. You would be in the same situation as the other applicants if you take up research in your third year. I would really focus on getting this in your first or second year and to be actively involved in societies and activities your university offers!

Hey, I didn't show the storage room/laundry area because I was still in the process of moving in. We have a washer and dryer in the storage room.

No worries at all!! Yes, so I took out a student loan to come study in London as an international student and my partner was working at the time we were living at this place. There are many locations around London that are similar to this apartment at different price ranges - I could recommend Kidbrook which we lived in for a year during lockdown 🥰
