Demopaja NEXT

Instanssi 2020 demo compo 2nd place. Start with the basics, move on to the NEXT level. The original plan was to do some modern OpenGL coaching for beginners in the party workshop using my custom libGDX/LWJGL3/Kotlin demo framework, but I did not get the materials ready in time. After that realization the next logical thing was to code a demo within a week for the demo compo. This is an updated ...

9.MID - What is this MIDI song called?
Просмотров 1606 лет назад
When I was a kid I used to collect sweet MIDI songs from game directories and such on a floppy disk and listen them from time to time with my Pentium 1 / Windows 95 machine. There was this one song that was my all time favorite and it was just simply called "9.MID". I never figured how this MIDI ended up on my machine and what's it really called. Can you help me? Download MIDI file: drive.googl...

What you see here is my demo entry for Instanssi 2014 demoparty as well as final project for a C# programming course. The C# programming course required that Jypeli programming library had to be utilized somehow in the course's final project. As Jypeli did not offer very good support for flexible graphics drawing (or maybe I was just ignorant and lazy), I decided to use only two basic things fo...
Why you should play Rise of the Triad

Because it is still one of the craziest and funniest first person shooters around. This video contains random clips from my custom maps. I will be releasing these maps online once I get them finished. Programs used: Open Broadcaster Software Dosbox ROTT Mapper Deluxe Windows Moviemaker Audacity 2

Cungus
That game was fun.

Oh hell yeah.....
Looking great, pity the set isn't ready, yet. Will you port them over to the Ludicrous Edition?
Finally found the soundtrack of my life
I remember play this when I was 6 years old, this music opening theme omg such nostalgia. Back in those days you would play anything and just learn to play it fully. Nowadays you have too much work and commitment you dont have time to synchronize into any game anymore
Crank the speed up to 1.5x and let the beat drop
The music reminds me of when my father would rape me.
So good
Thanks to doom 95 on this disc, I first discovered doom as a kid. Somehow I played heretic first and thought, why is doom so similar to heretic?
It was the only way I could play Doom. Oh and the Beavis and Butthead game
Can you make an 8-hour long version of this?
would be nice if you posted the other music from this game
Maybe some day. I have the midi files and sound effects lying somewhere.
@@wabeti Please do!
@@wabeti Oh wow I seriously would love to see these somewhere. Can't find them anywhere and there is definitely one that's super influential that I haven't heard in like 10-15 years.
Kick ass!
Oh yeah, I remember this game; very familiar image. It was thanks to this game that got me into writing books of my own.
So much memories
Oh the memory!! Me and my siblings using this as a way to make our own stories. Two oldest sisters made the best stories!! My youngest sister's are pretty good at storytelling as well.
So 90s
Those maps aren't released over 6 years.. :(
Sorry man. I know it sounds crazy, but the level pack is not finished yet. I have 3 levels that are somewhat finished but they have plenty of rough edges that need adjusting to make the levels less tedious to play. There are way too many places where you will die almost instantly if you are not careful with your steps. That's not an issue in itself, but there should be clear indicators and markings for the player so he'll have at least a chance to prepare himself. I can create a web page for the levels if you want to do some beta testing, but as I said the levels are pretty rough still. I am not actively working on this project as I just randomly get excited about making some rott levels every other year :)
Loved this game. And of course...its synthesizing music
This game was a HUGE part of my childhood, right next to Captain Claw! So many memories...
I have the original disk and I used to play it so much when I was a child. I tried it again now on a old pc with Windows 98 but it shows a generic error <<Unable to Inizialize>>. I thoght about a compatibility problem because, after all, it is a Windows 95 sampler, so I tried to install it on a virtual machine with Windows 95 (I’m using virtual box) but... here we go again.. the same generic error <<Unable to inzialize>>. Someone knows how to resolve it?
You might need hardware acceleration and DirectX installed. Used to run it on real hardware, not sure about VMs.
i still fucking know this by heart after 15 years
Gawd I miss playing this game as a kid! I had some weird ass stories! lol
There it finally is. The music that has been stuck in my head for the past 20+ years. I used to write stories with this program in a friend's house, but I didn't remember the name of the program and tried for many years to unsuccessfully search for it.
The best.
Это очень круто, красавчик!
Красавчик!
Невероятно круто
Спасибо!
Nostalgia!
How I wish I could find a copy of this again
I absolutely loved this game!; so many memories!
@@NJASZN I had a copy but got rid of it because it didn't work on any of the PCs I had.
Phylicia Stevens ahhh I have the software installed on my windows 96 in the basement lol
@@NJASZN I'm so jealous! XD
I finally found it!!! Been searching for this for years! Forgot what it was called! Played this at my grandparents all the time back in the late 90's! Miss those days! Thank you!!!
I remade this song on garage band.
Oooh golden memories... EPIC!
Microsoft Studios, ¿Why you don't make something similar for today?
+Locke Silvrel This is Monolith Soft (Not the same thing). Monolith (Just Monolith) are the people behind F.E.A.R. and Shadow of Mordor. And yes, I know they made Odyssey Windows 95, but what I mean is why Microsoft Studios didn't see that from more than 20 years ago to make a kind of Odyssey but for Windows 10. That would be fantastic.
Yeap. PD: I denunced your comment by mistake. I'm sorry. :(
Thank you so much. This song is pure epicnes
I used to play this game on our old 95 every time. Can you fix the download link, it's dead.
excellent
balls man
The golden age of gaming.
