As I've aged, I've realized that kindness is the greatest gift one can receive - and give. Sometimes it's just a smile given to a weary cashier, sometimes it's finding a way to help someone needing just a little bit more money at the market, sometimes it help for both the young and old so they can see they are valued. And I've been on the receiving end since i'm one of the 'old' by having a young lady pushing carts into the market but stopping to ask if I would like one to lean on to make it inside more easily, being lost and unable to find a new doctor's office and having a sweet person leading me there, a kind neighbor helping me unclog a drain and put in light bulbs as i was forbidden to be on a ladder. i'm convinced there are angels here on earth.
