Got to love a bit of John Prine.
Yes, he has some great stuff!
+++++
Bravo my friend!!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Great performance! 😎
Thank you!
Great song! Nice arrangement. Thanks
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Love your work. 👍
Thank you very much! 🙏🏻
Could we get a lesson please, gotta love the blues…..👌
I will certainly have this one in the rotation!
Nice song 👍👌
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Thoroughly enjoyed this, and look forward to spending a LOT of time rewatching and working on all that you covered. I also appreciated your self-correction (this isn’t Robert Johnson tune, I already messed up), because I have that same tendency to insert real-time “editorial corrections” when I’m speaking. Glad to know I’m not the only one! 😊 Thanks for a great video!
Thank you, I hope this helps! And yes, I frequently make and say mistakes in these videos but I figure this is real life and we all do, might as well keep them in there 😂
actually loved this, concise and explained well. And your singing is dope. Thanks bro just subbed.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it and thank you also for the subscription!
Great feel, man! Your playing and vocals are so enjoyable to listen to. keep 'em coming!
Thank you, I appreciate that! 🙏🏻
Great tune and playing. Now I am going to figure it out!! Thank you
Thank you! It’s one of my all time favorites of Broonzy tunes!
Great job bro
Thank you!
Nice lesson👍
Thank you! I hope it is helpful!
Nice job, Daniel! I appreciate your down-to-earth teaching style and the fact that you left your mistakes in the video. It's comforting to know that we all stumble from time to time. Keep the awesome acoustic blues videos coming!
Thank you very much for the kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed this!
Its a F to a c/G. Thanks I love this song and your riffs were nice
That’s cool, I hadn’t thought to do the C with the G over it! I am going to have to try that one at home today. I had been hearing major 7th chords, but I want to hear what it would sound like with the G over it. Thank you!
Another great one dude! One of these days I know I’ll see the thrill is gone tutorial pop up lol keep them coming man
Thank you! And yes, it’s coming for sure! I’ll be to that one very soon!
@@danielbyrdmusic8824 awesome can’t wait man can ya tell!?
Liked and subscribed after a few seconds! You're fantastic Daniel, looking forward to more music :)
Thank you so much!
Great version….
Thank you!
sorry but why you need to wear the headphone?
I have a mic that can be questionable in its performance at times 😂 if I have the headphones on I can hear when it screws up and then know I need to stop recording, fix it, and try again
Nicely done. Has special meaning for too many right now near you . May God Be With them all...
Another wonderful jam my man!!
Thank you very much! 🙏🏻
Are you and yours OK in the part of the Carolinas you live in? Hoping for the best for you, your family, friends and all residents who have been affected by recent devastation.
Thank you so much for asking! We were blessed. Where we live was hit, but my family and I are doing great. We just had power restored yesterday. Lots of trees down and houses damaged around us, but we managed to avoid it. It’s still very chaotic around here with stores not being fully operational yet and gas and food shortages, but we will manage through it!
So glad to read that...sad for those near you though, if there is a local organization I can donate to for that area please share it. I am hesitant to give to national organizations, want to be sure it goes directly to local folks affected. Play On.@@danielbyrdmusic8824
Thank you! I’ll keep an eye out for any local organizations. So far, it’s been a lot of churches, community centers, schools, and some businesses helping people around here the most! Things in the upstate of SC are getting closer to normal. Still a lot of folks without power and a lot of trees down.
That was excellent, mate. 🔥
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Really nice
Thank you! 🙏🏻
dope
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Great performance! 😎🔥
Thank you! 🙏🏻
That’s confusing u saying so the major 2nd position over minor key
Yeah, I didn’t know the technical term for it necessarily. I just went with how I knew how to find it 😂
What is that chord you play near the end right after you say A major?..because it’s not A major, it looks some kind of G chord, thanks!
One of the best blues songs ever! Thanks for breaking it down for folks to learn! Awesome job!
I love this song! I’m glad it was helpful!
Another great lesson, thank you, channel growing
Thank you much!
Deserves more views 👏 good for you brother 🫡
I appreciate it! 🙏🏻
Happy birthday!!! Once i planted a rose bush i called Robert Johnson.
Very nice! I bet it was the best rose bush!
@@danielbyrdmusic8824 Beautiful, wealthy and smelling sweetly
@@danielbyrdmusic8824 Also cause i'm born a may 7 and Robert a may 8 and i'm very pleased with that :)
Hey stupid beginner question here but why the headphones? Thanks for the vids your teaching me a lot
I’m glad they are helping! I just wear those because the mic I have can be a bit hit or miss sometimes and will make strange noises. If I have the headphones on, I can catch when that happens and adjust it if I need to.
@@danielbyrdmusic8824 thank you sir! Still looking fwd to the thrill is gone as well!! Hope your Chanel is growing man I don’t know how it couldent
Great lesson, will be watching a lot...thanks.
That’s great! I’m glad to hear it helped!
👍👍
Very relatable teaching style, Daniel. Nice lesson, much appreciated.
Hey :) I am on a road to listening 200 blues albums and since I am playing alone I have a question. Any player who plays like Tommy Emmanuel Stevie's Blues or Guitar boogie where you have all the parts at the same time? Most of the blues players I listened to use similar vocabulary, mostly first 3 positions of the pentatonic with sometimes added maj6, maj2 and a blue note. Usually they don't address IV chord or sing through it. Acoustic blues - I like those fills and short licks at the end of bars. I am good at transcribing solos, just don't know what would be the best way to improve.
That’s a really good question! First off, I don’t think there’s anyone out there in blues or otherwise than can get close to what Tommy Emmanuel does. He is otherworldly! Secondly, there are a few blues guys that come to mind when you talk about playing rhythm and melody at the same time. Robert Johnson certainly does this to an extent, especially in songs like “Stones in My Passway,” where he’s playing a melodic line underneath a droning bass. I would also point to Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Willie McTell, Blind Lemon Jefferson, and Reverend Gary Davis. They all played some very cool melodic lines underneath their basic chords. A little outside the realm of blues but Elizabeth Cotton does a lot of that as well. I hope that helps!
@@danielbyrdmusic8824 I found few golden nuggets from Joe Bonamassa, Kirk Fletcher and Josh Smith where they integrate lead licks into ryhthm in their lessons and interviews.
can you do tutorial for ramblin on my mind by eric clapton acoustic
Yes! I’ve actually just uploaded that to my channel, please check it out!
Nice one man!
👍🏼 Great tutorial, very well done! Keep up the great job 😎
Really nice lesson! Thank you so much! Any clue I can find these cool solo in the end of the video?
Thank you! To be honest, I was just improvising in the A-minor pentatonic at the end there!
You pick some fine songs sir! Keep them coming friend, great stuff there!!
Good job Daniel. What tuning is that?
Thank you! It’s open D (D-A-D-F#-A-D)
I love this one🥰 Can you do a tutorial on a Taylor Swift song??? 🤪 Pretty sure I heard your dad playing this video to learn this song.
Can you do a hell hounds on my trail lesson?
I play a version of it, I’ll have to put it up soon!
You got this bro don’t sweat it. We’re all guitarists with a love for the blues. I mean you have over 1k subscribers evidently you’re doing something right. Some of these old heads in here have some good advice but remember at the end of the day you have to do what works for you. Peace and love brother man 🤘😎
Thank you for the kind words!
Love me some Jimmy!!! Fine job there friend!!
Thank you, Hendrix is one of my favorites!
