Adventures need not be huge complicated expeditions. Every day adventures and micro adventures sprinkled with the odd bigger epic is what keeps me going.

Thanks for Posting thats one of the best river Journey videos I have seen for a while. Planning routes and this is one we want to do in Inflatable drop stitch tech Tomahawk kayaks with sea kayak paddles. Did some safety training at the knokando beat with Glenmore Lodge few years back using Fusion boats. Cheers
Thanks for your kind comments. Good luck on Planning your trip. If you would like any tips on camping spots just ask and I’m happy to share info ❤
Me and a mate paddled the Spey a week ago. From Kingussie bridge to Spey bay. We both loved every minute of it. Beautiful country, people and fantastic paddling. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Great video mate. Great choice of tunes, loved the Spey whiskey 🥃 song and beluga lagoon
Hiya, thanks for your kind comments. Aye glad you had a great trip. It’s one that draws us back. Great memories eh, that’s what it’s all about, creating memories. ❤
Spot on lads got a cracking day to go out 😊 There deffo not like that alot lol 👍😁🏴✌️
Can you make more Lobster hauling vids please (plenty interest out there and good You tube earnings)
Thanks, aye I’d love to make more. I will definitely get round to it. Just need to pin down my pal whose boat it is. He’ll be lifting his gear for the winter soon so I’ll see how it goes. May be next spring. Thanks
Love it.. love kayaking here
Really good video mate a lovely trip with your family Love the Spey whiskey song
Fantastic stretch of river but incredible choice of music best I’ve heard. Had me searching for a song list.
@@martinoutdoors6941 ah thanks so much. Yeh Beluga Lagoon are fab and I asked Andy a number of years ago if I could use his music and he was happy and saw it as free advertising so win win. They are growing in popularity now and are playing in Glasgow O2 on 19th December.
Looks fun mate. Liked an subscribed
nice one!
looks wild out there
Class video I’ve watched this three times. I admire the snow tarp camping. That looked Baltic, have a look at the hot tent tipis. Awesome like sitting in the front room. Lol😂. Plus kit drying overnight & cooking. Already a fan of beluga lagoon. Great tune Happy paddling 🛶🤙
Thanks for the kind comments. Yeh a hot tent would be fab. We do have a bell tent but not yet got a stove. It’s on the list lol Cheers
Best Birthday EVER Buddy!!!
Thanks so much. I’ll check out your channel too.
Cheers buddy@@andyjamieson
Awesome Andrew, man the Dee in the snow... the Beluga lagoon music... awesome mate keep it up, will be following your adventures!
Thanks so much, out with an injury just now though.
Oh no! Hope you recover matey!@@andyjamieson
Another awesome video. Perhaps my favourite location close to home for canoe tripping.
Thanks so much for the kind words ❤
Enjoyed that a lot. As a fairly new canoest, and living a stones throw from the Dee, I really should get a trip in it! Liked seeing proper fire management by scraping back the ground first! Nice
Thanks, we always leave no trace apart from a few less sticks and flat ground. We always dig down for a fire pit and pour buckets of water on once finished then bury back over and re turf. We also dig a communal toilet pit at least 100m away from water deep enough to bury toilet waste properly. All litter is carried out including what we find of others mess and re cycle it after the trip. I have a dedicated dry bag for litter. Hope you get out on the Dee soon it’s such a great river. Thanks
Great video . Thanks. Planning on doing this in April. Cant wait!. Where did you put in exactly? Also are there any decent canoe/kayak shops in Aberdeen to your knowledge? I will be arriving in Aberdeen on public transit and would like to replace a few bits of kit, mainly new bcd and paddle (Im in a packraft) . You guys seem like you might know. Thanks
Hi thanks, sorry there aren’t any canoe or kayak specific shops in Aberdeen apart for Tiso but it’s a more generic outdoor shop and has some water stuff though as I type this I do recall that there may be a Decathlon?? Worth looking into. I definitely wouldn’t travel without having a paddle secures though. As for the put in it’s above Braemar just below where the Lui joins. That would be tricky for you as public transport only goes up to Braemar but to be fair you wouldn’t be missing much apart from the first wee technical rapid that in April may be too bony to paddle anyways. Good luck planning your trip and if you need any more advice just ask.
@andyjamieson OK thanks for that. All the kit I have at present will do. Just had a wild idea about leaving it all at home and doing some upgrades if it was convenient. I don't have the luxury of visiting any good shops where I am in Gibraltar. Sounds like you know the area really well , the bus from Aberdeen to Braemar is exactly what I was planning on doing after a direct flight from Malaga. Thanks again and happy 2024.
wow 😮
awesome video
Thanks, appreciate it. Yeh Beluga Lagoon are doing well, can’t seem to get a ticket for their gigs as they sell out in no time!

Nicely done, sir!

Hi Duncan, Thanks for your kind words I appreciate it. We planned to put in at the dam at the E end of Loch Beinn Mheadhoin paddle a bit then camp. The following day would see us to the top of the loch then a portage on the left (south) up the track to Loch Affric then on up to the big sandy beach at the head of Loch Affric. 4 days in total. However storm Babet saw us having to reviewing the plan as we didn’t want to be stuck at the W end of Loch Affric and having to paddle back into 40 mph winds from the East. So we just put onto the loch paddled an hour, camped in a wee spot where we stayed for 3 nights and just explored the area. On my birthday we paddled back to the car and took a wee drive to go visit the incredible Plodda falls. Not the trip we planned but it turned out to be a lovely relaxing family trip. Drop me an email to andyjamieson30@gmail.com if you’d like screen shot of a map. I must say I love watching videos of canoe tripping in Canada. It’s definitely on my list of things to do one day. Happy paddling and thanks for reaching out. Kind regards Andy
