I will definitely try that. Thanks for the Tip! Average Shot distance on Mouflon are usually around 50 yards with the bow. Yes, they are very alert even without hunting pressure. I have never won a staring contest against them. haha

The only meat I left behind was the shanks on this buck. The entire front half (neck, most of shoulders, and half of ribeyes) were blown/blood clot from the shot.

Thanks! We got a later weekend, but were lucky enough to find these bucks. Numbers were definitely lower this time around. Although with the rain we have been having, I have been seeing a lot of does with their young. So we are hoping that the with the abundance of feed, there will be a slight increase in the numbers next year.

Saw lots and lots of fawns, overall what a tough hunt though. No shortage of mouflon for us.

Thank you! The Christensen arms rifle I have weighs about 9 pounds with the optics and accessories. There are lighter hunting rifles available, but for me this is perfect. I used to hunt with the RPR that weighed almost 20lbs with all the accessories.

Recommendation from a family friend, and was able to shoot both chambers prior to purchasing my rifle. The 6.5 is more forgiving as far as recoil, and the ballistics are great.

Unfortunately there is not. You would have to get it from another Island and ship it over VIA Freight Barge.

Using Fixed Broad Heads. Always had bad luck with the mechanicals hitting something and deflecting.

@@AlanAmby in over 40 years of using a bow I never used a mechanical head. I have friends that tried them of different designs that actually looked good but they switched to fixed. 👍👍
