Final fall cleanup of 2017 Part 2 - Mowing in the dark
Просмотров 3,8 тыс.7 лет назад
This is the second part of the fall cleanup that was posted last month. The sun has set and it become dark for the last hour or so of work I had left so I was able to finish with the help of a LED light bar I have installed on the ROPS of my mower.

How do you like your Macan S? Any features you you’d order again or skip if you purchased another?
@@MotecM I absolutely love it! Premium plus package is well worth it, and I also like the sport exhaust.
Thank you for the reply! I’m waiting for my local dealer to have another S allocation to place a build
@@MotecM Nice, it’s definitely exciting getting to build it exactly how you want!
Great video! Thank you
Thanks Alex
Do you also change the fuel and air filters every 5k miles?
I check them but usually not necessary to change that often.
Good job pointing out the C30 spec. You wouldn't believe how many DIYers use the wrong oil.
That oil look very clean tho.
Everything is so tight in that engine bay no wonder they cost so much to fix. Poor design.
Great and informative video. Do you happen to have a part number for that LED light? Or where you purchased it, perhaps? Thanks..
I believe I purchased it at Harbor Freight
@@Alex.AL_26 Perfect!! Thank You, Sir. 👌
Great instruction video thanks. What ramps do you use?
Just some basic ramps I bought at Menards years ago, nothing fancy.
@@Alex.AL_26 thanks. I'll look around and good to know that I can use that approach to lift the Macan.
Great video and nice job! Simple to follow. It would be better to have the car level when draining oil, and some back up jack stands in addition to the ramps just to be on the safe side as those ramps have failed on people before. Again, very nice and helpful video.
I level it for the transfer case fluid but not necessary for oil.
Great video I will follow it along for my new GTS oil change in a few weeks. May I ask, why is not necessary to have the car level for the oil to fully drain? Won’t a raised front end leave some residue?
Hi there, thanks for posting. Have you done research on what type of scan tool you will use to reset the oil service light? If so, a video would be helpful.
From what I have seen it appears the icarsoft brand works with most Porsche models although I have not tried it myself so not 100% sure
ICarsoft is what I use.
I just got that same seat from a local dealer that had a very slight tear. $450 marked used for a $1000 + seat! It’s a fantastic seat compared to the solid frame seat. Over bumps it’s like a Cadillac suspension. Funny thing is I didn’t even know it was a suspension seat! Mounted it and plopped down on it and was shocked. I wouldn’t use the poundage dial for your exact weight. It’s more of a personal comfort level. I’m 245 and I have mine set for 190. My Lazer z has 1100 hours and it was a worthwhile upgrade for that price.
It definitely is a nice seat!
Hey man, are you still rocking your lawncare business? Great video 👍
Yup! still doing the lawncare and also now working at a landscape construction company. It is crazy busy at times doing both, but I really enjoy each one as they offer something a little different.
what do you think of the sports exhaust because i am planning to get macan in few months?
Love it! That is the first thing I turn on when I get into the car.
@@Alex.AL_26 Great! What about the interior you got?
@@amnaalbloushi2243 I have the standard black interior and it is good, I would get the Premium package plus because it does come with quite a few nice things.
Hi, I’m switching my bad kholer engine to a Kawasaki engine. Does the wiring hook up the same way on the Kawasaki as it did for the kholer engine?
Not sure if there are any differences in wiring hookup between the 2 engines. Since most of the Kholer's were EFI I would imagine there may be some differences.
GREAT MOW LOOKS VEY GOOD
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
So satisfying
Thanks For Watching!
Satisfing
Yes, indeed!
I cant wait to start mowing in 2023 this is the exact sound of ours
I dont know how many times i will watch this through late January and February and a bit of March
What hitch kit did you use? Go into existing holes or did you drill?
It mounts to existing holes, I am pretty sure it is the OEM Exmark hitch kit, but It was a long time ago when I installed it and don't remember for sure.
Nice work but It's been 3 years now are you trimming 1st now or not? Why the double cut? They paying for that?
I have tried trimming first but for me it just tends to work better if I mow first and then trim. Some customers request a double cut which is an additional fee.
@@Alex.AL_26 I get it it's hard to break. But if you trim first it speeds up the cutting. Trimming out all the mulch beds, fence, and other obstacles you can get nice and tight to those areas. But you save 10 to 20 minutes on big .50 .75 1.0 properties. I love the grass game.
I know this is 3 years ago but always trim first then mow blow get that $ and go!!!
Nice work bud new sub here 👍👌
Thank you!
Did you lower the deck for the second pass over lawn?
No, both passes were cut at 3 inches.
How do you like the Lazer Z E Series? Enough power? How’s the cut quality?
I love it, it is a great mower. The ultracut series 4 deck provides a excellent cut quality and the Kawasaki FX 801V engine has plenty of power for what I need. I generally cut manicured and maintained lawns but occasionally cut overgrown grass 1-2 feet tall and and the mower always has plenty of power. If I remember correctly I don't think they offer the E-Series with the FX-801V engine anymore. The most powerful one you can get now I think is the FX 730V.
Did u quit RUclips?
No, I just have been very busy and have not had time to make any new videos. Although I am hoping to make some videos soon.
Nice mower✌
awesome video, www.professionalfirefighterlawnservice.net/projects
Your back
You still have this mower?
Yes
@@Alex.AL_26 how's it holding up so far? Really on the edge of buying one
@@martinmelendez5450 it is great, as of now I have about 300 hours and it is running great. Just make sure to do maintnance, the manual says change oil and filter every 100 hours, but I do it every 50 hours just to be safe. Also change the hydro fluid every 250 hours. Besides that there are a few grease points that need yearly greasing and that is about it.
@@Alex.AL_26 sounds good and thanks for feedback and advise much appreciated
How does that mower have a 801v all the e series 60 mowers I have seen at my dealer have the 751v 24.5 one. The s series has the 801v
Interesting, I am not sure. I purchased this mower in June of 2016 and told my dealer everything that I wanted, e-series, 60 inch deck, kawasaki engine and suspension seat. Maybe newer models have the downsized engine.
@@Alex.AL_26 I'm guessing so, but thanks for reply.
Does it bogg down on tall grass and what's series fx kawi you running?
Generally it does not bog down, I have cut thick grass up to 2 feet tall and that is really the only time I noticed it bog down, but even then it still went through. The engine is the FX 801v.
@@Alex.AL_26 nice I'm looking into a Lazer z s series
@@martinmelendez5450 There is not too much difference between the E and S series, If you want to upgrade I would say go with the X series which has upgraded hydro pumps and wheel motors, larger spindles and a more heavy duty deck. Otherwise I would just stick with the E series.
@@Alex.AL_26 will look into x series it cost a bit thu exmark has gotten expensive
I’ve noticed if I cut and mulch it. Then go over it with a backpack blower to spread out the clippings a little it seems to make it a lot easier to bag it then. And doesn’t fill nearly as quick. Usually I’ll cut the front and mulch then go over it with the backpack real quick. Go do the same in the backyard and then go back and bag the front. Then bag the back.
Nothing like the first cuts of the season.
Nice job. If I may make a suggestion, make half circles around obstacles such as the one in the video. In time, those full circles will leave ruts.
Wow!! That was really exciting. My family and I are watching it again tonight. And then again tomorrow!
I would have put the catcher on before I started cutting the grass . How about every body else
Charles Hubbard the reason I did not put the catcher on from the start is because there would be alot more grass if I collected it, i first went over it to mulch it, and then use the catcher to remove any additional clumps.
are you using the Exmark striping roller?
There is no stripe kit on the mower, it is just very good at striping the way it is.
agree. I've got an older Lazer HP 48" and its stripes were terrible. I ended up having to buy the kit for it and drilling holes in my deck now it puts some decent stripes now but going around trees with roots popping up is torcher it bounces the deck all around. I'm now looking at buying an X series 60" nice to know I don't need the $400 roller. The only other thing I need to figure out is what chute blocker I want either the factory or the PowerChute (thats what I'm using now)
Nice job and video..
Thanks!
sorry but i hope that no company will hire him cause he really suck and he is too young to drive that he should be supervised
So no strip kit? It must be the year of the mower. Mines don’t strip at all. I have the 2007 model.
The Ultracut Series-4 deck stripes great the way it is.
Looks good
Thanks!
Alex , when you have a minute check out "extensive gardens". It's a real ground up startup yard care struggle.
It's like watching a Gallagher train wreck isn't it.
Niceeee
Thanks!
What area are you located in?
Northwestern suburbs of Chicago.
I for some reason don't like the engine mounted sideways
I believe it is mounted this way to allow easy access to the oil filter and oil drain hose.
Don't turn on concrete. It leaves marks
oh really ?? are you freakin serious when u say this ?? well u taught me something duhhhhhhhh
Great video man...What series is that and what engine you got on that machine?
It is an E-series with the kawasaki FX 801V engine.
*_It's a nice little tractor for small lawns.==>_**_t.co/EFq5AE6VdE_**_ I wouldn't recommend his tractor for yards that have any incline. I prefer the 42 inch tractor, which has more stability and gets the job done faster._*
how do you like the bagger? was thinking about grabbing one of them. but i don't see you using it in any other videos.
I only use it if the grass is very tall and during the fall when doing fall cleanups. I do like it, but my customers prefer not bagging the grass because it is an extra fee.
do you charge extra for double cutting?
no
Do you have a strip kit? And how do you like the chute blocker?
I do not have a stripe kit and the Chute blocker is great! It greatly reduces the amount of grass on driveways and in flower beds, which makes cleaning up faster.
Alex wow! I just purchased one after watching your videos. Keep up the good work. That thing strips good without one.
Yes it does! Thanks!
A shitty way to cut grass probably some young dude.
Very nice
Thanks!
