Sadly, resort/destination/facility fees are the most common things in NYC hotels. Don't forget the $3-4 Convention Fee (even though you are not attending any conventions). :(

there is a temporary bar and breakfast area there in the lobby that you can use the voucher. Maybe give the hotel a call, the bar and lobby may have been completed already since its now summer.

I saw your comment at the paramount hotel. I would choose the paramount hotel compared to the Manhattan hotel.

Hi there, comparing both thoroughly, if you are staying 2-5 nights or longer I would stay at the Aliz Times Square. They have a Mini refrigerator and almost in the same location.

Yes that true. Also, they don’t have a proper restaurant now and no gym. At the Crowne Plaza TS, the gym is run by New York sports club and they declared bankruptcy and closed the doors indefinitely.

I think they did shut down for a bit 2020, but they reopened when JFK Airport reopened for travel.

Yes, check in time is around 3-4 pm. Very common for hotels in NYC. For early check ins, please see below: "Early check-in is subject to hotel availability and cannot be guaranteed." I do suggest you call the hotel first. Maybe they have rooms available and they can get you inside the room earlier or maybe store your luggage and roam the city first before checking in.

Great question! Im not entirely sure about the floors of the building. I was in the 19th flr. Maybe you are in the 23rd floor as the penthouse?

Definitely yes! We brought food and drinks from Dallas BBQ inside the room :) Its pretty common here in New York to do that.

The Hilton New York Times Square does not provide cots in their rooms, but they do charge $50 per stay for extra beds for guests aged 2 and up. Cribs are free by request for guests aged 0-2. Some say that the hotel charges $50 per night for a roll-in bed. Please contact the hotel first as well to confirm this.

Oh, I haven't read that! I'll check the artwork situation. All I know before checking in is that the building itself was meant to be an apartment/condo/residential that's why the rooms are a little bit larger than the usual.

I'll try and see if they have a date/day that's a lower rate. Its one of my targeted hotel for sure!!!

I am not entirely sure if its a buffet for I did not enter the bfast area. In their website however, it does say Breakfast Buffet. "Fuel up for a day of exploring New York City with our breakfast buffet. Featuring classic American breakfast delights. Hours / Monday-Sunday: 6:30AM-12:30PM"

I was surprised as well. Maybe the prior guest requested it and they just never took it out. Again, I am not complaining. 😆

Yes! I think I find more value in the lounge versus paying day by day for bfast amongst other things 🎉

I know right!!! Unfortunately, this is a very common thing for hotels here in Manhattan - NYC. :( One more thing to add to the total expense for the night.
