Welcome to a world where books are in bloom! Once again, for 2023, the creative members of the Easton Garden Club each chose a favorite book, then interpreted it through a "novel" flower arrangement! Arrangements were displayed throughout the library for 3 days in October. Garden Club member Priscilla Almquist Olsen gives us a virtual tour of this year's display and book pairings.

Anyone here in 2024? 🔵🔵🔵🔵
She looks so young for 30
I agree, how was she almost 30, and the wicked queen a literal TEEN? Honestly I am more schocked by the queen being a teenager. There MUST be a mistake
@@princessedelu whoa I’m super shocked whatttt
БЕЛОСНЕЖКА(1916).
How was this filmed?
can you please tell me what your favourite chapter of hollow fires was ? and why? thank you
You know watching this verison of Snow White I can definitely see why Walt Disney did what he did for his verison of Snow White
I think that Jessie Braham White's play is really his masterpiece; and deserves a faithful reconstruction
This movie actually had a pretty big impact on the world of cinema. Walt Disney saw this movie when he was a teenager and he loved it so much that it inspired him to produce his own adaptation of the Snow White fairy tale over 20 years later, and the rest from there is history.
Couldn't they use subtitles in these old films?
I mean no subtitles didn’t exist back then
What about the text they show? Couldn't they use the same method to make that as subtitles?
@@BerishaFatian I didn’t think back then if you recall this was for American audiences only so it appealing to other countries didn’t become a thing yet it’s kinda like with anime way back then as well now a days it appeals to everyone worldwide
What's the difference who made it or for whom? The movies were silent, so no one could hear them.
@@BerishaFatian yeah I know but subtitles for other countries didn’t exist back then
Where's the musical score from?
There is no music this is a silent film
@@watchforever1724 When I watch it I hear music in the background.
Thank you, Ames Free Library! I have wanted to see this for a long time. When I entered Massachusetts College of art I had received the Winthrop Ames Art Scholarship. WHile growing up in North Easton, MA I mowed the lawn of what had been Winthrop Ames' home, Queset House. Great memories.
So amazingly awesome! These young women look like today's in many ways! My late GP was only 5; late GM wasnt even born for another 9 years! The Titanic tragedy was a mere 4 years before!
j'aime les cartons anciens , avec cette étrange police d'écriture.
Oh ! un lion !:)
I'd never heard of this wonderful film until RUclips suggested it. Thank you for the upload! And because Santa is in it, I'll watch it again next Christmas!
Absolutely wonderful..terrific 🇬🇧
Thank you Hannah! Been excited for this one 😁
So glad I found this channel! I'm so excited to read the butcher and the wren!!
Epic ! Thanks !🙏😍
Magical! Thank you!
Only section 2022.
Música de Kevin MacLeod
This is 🔥!
Ohh?? And little Miss Adrianna Caselotti was only born.
1984 VHS version.
Searched for this after learning that Walt Disney was really inspired by a Snow White movie he watched in the theater when he was young and it was a big reason why he chose Snow White to be his first animated feature.
0:07 noite feliz stille nacht
I guess we owe a _lot_ to this film then.
And to think that it were high chances of being remained lost in time
Yeah
I love the addition of the witch.
Overall, despite the very rushed bit with the comb & apple, this is a decent rendition of the Grimm Brother's tale. I especially like the focus Snow White daily life & meeting the prince (marrying cousin, aside) before the whole "Queen's plan, cause jealously + a deal with a witch" sets in motion. The Huntsman's expanded role with his children was also nice to see.
This is really disturbing for some reason
Well the Wicked Queen did try and kill Snow White three times! And I was imagining if the Huntsman hadn't been able to get to his children and they all starved in the Grey Tower.
Whats with the aspect ratio and black bars on the sides? The image is too small.
The black bars on the side is because films back then up until around the dawn of the 2000's were filmed with a 4:3 aspect ratio, the uploader has letterboxed it to widescreen
Almost 2020 gang 😎😎👌👌
madoxthepsychic ayyyy
#huntleyfilmarchives has another 1910's snow white which has #pathecolor and or #stencilcolor in the film.
I was expecting a standard adaptation, which it is, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how charming it is! Marguerite makes a lovable Snow White and I can definitely see how this film influenced Disney's adaptation. I like how sympathetic the Huntsman is in this version, sort of like an uncle to Snow White
It is very charming
Yeah
Paramount en su tiempo desde llamado Famous Players desde 1912 como fue cambiado a Paramount pictures radicalmente solo es increible espero que Viacom no deje en abandondo a esta empresa que es Paramount ya que esta si tiene calidad y con 105 años de historia
